I have been debating between a SanDisk Sansa mp3,video,photo 4GB or higher and an iPod nano, but now that I have seen the Creative Zen 8GB in the CC ad and the RCA 5GB in the WM ad I don't know which route to go. I'd love some advice to help make my decision. Thanks so Much!

I'm think I'm getting my daughter the Creative Zen 8gb, even though she wanted the Zen Vision M (for twice the price and she doesn't really need the video). It's small in size but powerful in features. And there are accessories and cases on ebay and the creative site.

I went through this last year looking for an mp3 player for my son. I talked to someone at Best Buy and was told that the Creative Zen's were the easiest to use and better than alot of other players. I bought a 20 gb Zen Sleek for my husband and 30 gb Zen media player for my son and have not had a problem with either. They really are very easy to use. I can use them and I don't know much!

In order of best MP3 player first:

Microsoft Zune

Creative Vision: M

Creative Zen

RCA

I've been looking at the Zen and have not read much about the Zune. Do you think the Zune will hold up, being the first production for Microsoft? I'm just worried about being their guinea pig in trying out their first venture into MP3 players.

I'm also curious to compare the Creative Zen & the Vision:M. Any place on line that compares the two??

The Creative ZMP and Vision: M are kinda two different animals. I like dapreview.com (dap - digital audio player), they review a lot of different players. They haven't reviewed the Zune yet, but offer links to a bunch of others for now. Also cnet is a good place to get info on any types of electronics.

Just beware that Cnet is VERY biased towards the Ipod. Oh this player is great and this and that BUT look what the Ipod can do. Everything on there is never beter than the Ipod.

So, mind change over the weekend -- the Pink Creative ZVM was on sale online at CC for $199. Jumped on it because it was such a great deal. Daughter will be happy, I hope!

I'd say thats very wrong. Firstly the Zune isn't even out. And hasn't been properly reviewed or tested and the reviews that have been done place it below the ipod.

Second i would place most iriver models above the creative, altough the Vision is nice.

And lastly. Despite whatever you my have against the ipod. It is still the best player bar none.
