  1. Yep the $169.99 price is correct. Before it was officially announced everyone assumed it was gonna be $199.99. You're getting a great deal with the bundle, essentially you're paying for the instruments and getting the game free.
  2. Metal pads give you more of an "arcade" expierence. They usually run you around $200 though and obviously they are less portable. The company I mentioned in my previous post sell metal pads as well.

The Creative ZMP and Vision: M are kinda two different animals. I like dapreview.com (dap - digital audio player), they review a lot of different players. They haven't reviewed the Zune yet, but offer links to a bunch of others for now. Also cnet is a good place to get info on any types of electronics.
  4. On the back of a game box in the top-right corner, there'll be an picture of a GBA connected to another one via a cable to show that supports a multi-link cable. There will be text usually next to this icon indicating if the game reqires multiple cartridges for multiplayer. To my knowlegde, there are only a few games that support multiplayer with one game cartridge.
  5. I believe they sell PS2 controller-to-usb adapters at Radio Shack. So you'll just have to buy to dance pad and the adapter. You can get generic PS2 soft pads for around $20. But I would recommend getting one with extra padding, which are usually around $40. The best thicker-padded one is the RedOctance Ignition Pad, you can get it on RedOctane's website.
  6. GH is awsome and I can't wait to play the second one tomorrow when I pick it up. If you're a fan of rhythm games like DDR, Donkey Konga, Taiko Drum Master - GH is a must! I believe overstock.com was selling GH bundle for like $40 last week, but I don't know if the deal is still going on though. For videogame deals definitely check out cheapassgamer.com. You need to register for the forums, but it's free!

Go for the Creative ZMP, already raved about it in the general BF MP3 thread.
  8. I would suggest you get a GBA SP or the Nintendo DS Lite. The GBA Micro's screen is very small and will be very hard on a child's eyes, even though the screen is as bright as the older DS's. The Micro was mainly intended for those who wanted an extremely portable gameboy and one that was customizable (has interchangeable faceplates). Both the SP and DS allow for screen protection via their clamshell designs, whereas the Micro's screen is always open and prone for scratches. If you can afford it, I would just spring for the Nintendo DS, as it plays gameboy advance games as well as DS games. You get the best of both worlds: young kids can start off with GBA games if the DS games are too complicated for them and later on, when they get better they can easily upgrade to DS games. I work in the videogame department at TRU and know the trend of what kids want these days. The DS is extremely popular and TRU usually offers bundled packages for it. My guess is that the Micro is selling for so cheap because stores need to get rid of their stock of it since it isn't selling. About a month ago, TRU offered a big bundle with the Micro where one could of saved a lot of money on it. Even with the sale, I failed to sell even 1 package. If he's 6 years-old and takes good care of his belongings, you shouldn't have any reservations with getting a DS. But if price is the issue, go with the SP and it should last him till next year when Nintendo will undoubtibly come out with a new handheld.
  9. Yeah, they've gotten stricter about these types of things lately. The coupon only comes in the Big Books that are sent in the mail, so there are none in store we can give out to customers. My store in So. Cal wis being strict about it like they were with the Deal/No Deal coupons
  10. I went to go pick up my paycheck Friday night and saw that 3 guys were already in line. I found out that our store would only be giving out 8 PS3 (7 60GB and 1 20Gb), so I hoped in line. My dad was nice enough to sleep over the first night and I relieved him Saturday morning. Slept over with him Saturday night and woke up early in the morning to shower and get ready to work. It was fun/tiring charging people for pre-orders I was waiting in line with. I ended up getting two 60GB PS3s and one elmo. Our store was allotted 20 Wiis and 138 Elmos.
  11. Without a receipt, you will receive store credit for items (non-electronics) at its sale price within the last 30 days. With a gift receipt, you will also get store credit for an item, but at the price the gift giver paid for it.
  12. I've read a lot of reports and have seen proof (corporate e-mail) that BBs will have Xbox 360s available starting that date. They are supposed to receive them earlier than the 18th, but BB employees are being ordered to hold them until the 18th. I assume they will have other good deals that week as well.

  14. The GBA SPs that Walmart will be selling for $50 are the red/black/blue/platinum older versions. The newer SPs with the "brighter backlit" screens only come in Pearl blue and Graphite (black).
