arbmommy Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Will BB do a price adjustment on a non-doorbuster item? I bought a new digital camera there yesterday, and of course, now it is on the ad.
bigjimslade Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Will BB do a price adjustment on a non-doorbuster item? I bought a new digital camera there yesterday, and of course, now it is on the ad.It is hard to say if they will do a price match. The reason is that Best Buy closes all of there return and customer service desk until 12 noon so they can be used to check out people. Also some of the BB doorbuster items are not regular stock items. Alot of times they will strike a deal with emachines for example and order 500,000 of a computer that they will offer for BF and the SKU and UPC code will be different from the everyday stock. The reason they do this is that when they strike the deal they will put less RAM into the desktop so you will have to buy more RAM and so you cant price match.
arbmommy Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 Thanks! I'm looking at a NON-doorbuster item...and I probably wouldn't be able to get there until 4 or 5 pm anyway because DH works that day (retail) and I don't want to take my 4 yr old DS out shopping/waiting in line!! It would be nice if they would adjust because it is almost a $100 difference!! If not, I understand too.
Marcster Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 So you CAN NOT price adjust between 5am-12?If the customer service desk is closed, like bigjimslade says, then I would say no... The "desk" itself might be open betwen those hours, but only for new sales not price adjustments. That's how it was 3 years ago when I was at BB for BF.
snickstx Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Maybe I'm wrong, I don't have the store policy in front of me, but won't your time be up by BF for a price adjustment? I thought DCs only had 14 days rather than 30. You could return and rebuy but you run the risk of 15% restock. Like I said, I'm not sure, I'd read the policy real close though.
littlwing Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 If you can't do the adjustment, you can just repurchase the item on Friday and then return it with the full price receipt.
