meinnj Posted November 5, 2006 Author Posted November 5, 2006 Ok I'll do my best here, Ill type out what the ad says. Compaq presario notebook computer with AMD Sempron Mobile Technology 3400+ and F380 All In One printer. 256MB DDr2 memory 40GB hard drive Reads & writes CD's and plays DVD's via the compo drive F380 all in one printer or upgrade to C3180 for $20.00 Upgrades Avail DVD burner $25.00 512MB memory $50.00 80GB harddrive $65.00 $299.99 after $150.00 instant savings and $280 in (3) mail ion savings. In store price $579.99 I went to the store tonight to check this out, they do not have them in the store these must be ordered and sent from the warehouse. I do not know how much the shipping is though. Can anyone tell me if this is worth it or not?
wnielsen1 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 It is a configure to order deal. A great deal! You can also unload the F380 printer on eBay for about $50.
meinnj Posted November 5, 2006 Author Posted November 5, 2006 Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will get there early in the AM, the manager said they open at 10 to be there when they open because the sale is everywhere and limited to warehouse stock.
wnielsen1 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 OK, I poked around for the rebates, the $280 rebates appear to be (the laptop appears to be Compaq model V3000Z): 1. $100 Office Depot rebate when you buy the laptop with either the HP F380 or C3180 printer. 2. $100 HP configure to order rebate on select laptops 3. $80 HP rebate on the F380 or C3180 when purchased with a select notebook. Out of the upgrades, all are decent. The critical one to get is the DVD burner for $25. These are hard to upgrade after-the-fact. The RAM & hard drive are much easier to replace.
Smartshopper435 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I called the company and they said that the shipping and handling is free for orders over $50 ... I'm going to head on over to the website to see if it has wireless access. :)
mandifour Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 If you want a picture it is available online for those that didn't get a print ad. Just go to website and click view specials on right hand side.

We use our computer for movie viewing & computer games but if the screen is small, it probably wouldn't be worth it.
meinnj Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 14.1 " screen size. Not sure how to get free shipping though, cost me $60, but still not complaining. After all is said and done inc all upgrades I paid $732 and still have to send in for the $280 MIR so final cost is only $450 not much more than Walmarts deal and I didn't have to stand in line for it.
parganiha Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 the office depot rebate site shows only 1 $100 rebate on the site for the said laptop. Any idea what is the offer number, SKU of the other 2 rebates...Dont want to buy now and realize later that I will get back only $100 OK, I poked around for the rebates, the $280 rebates appear to be (the laptop appears to be Compaq model V3000Z): 1. $100 Office Depot rebate when you buy the laptop with either the HP F380 or C3180 printer.2. $100 HP configure to order rebate on select laptops3. $80 HP rebate on the F380 or C3180 when purchased with a select notebook.
