RossMAN Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Specs can be found here and it's 1366x768 not 1080p.
daz Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 No info but here's the link to the site (Philips-Magnavox is the company name, don't know why they always keep them separate) http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=42MF531D/37&scy=&slg=AEN&grp=TV_GR&cat=FLAT_TV_CA&sct=M_FLAT_TV_SU And a link to the list of philips' tv's, Don't be surprised if you see one or more of the magnavox plasma's on sale at other stores: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpproduct_selector.pl?slg=ENG&grp=TV_GR&cat=FLAT_TV_CA&sct=M_FLAT_TV_SU
IceQueen Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Somewhat related question. I am a Philips employee (I work for a company owned by Philips). Who would be the one to ask about getting the employee discount on BF? There's an online store for the employees, but the BF prices are still pretty neat! Would the stores know this, or should I email Philips?

You can only get the retailer's employee discount -- but you have to work for the retailer. UNLESS Philips will reimburse you the amount of the discount. You should ask Philips before going to the store.
bigdogofftheporch Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 what is firm ware ? i was told that if the tv has firm ware then the tv is a good one. Is this true ? Any info would help:confused:

So it's either employee discount or BF, you have to choose one.
puddytay Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Are we speaking about the 999.99 tv? I think it's a peice of crap.... I hate the tv's that have external speakers. It just makes the tv look so cheap... The picture doesn't look too terrible though...

Hubby is looking for 1080p I wonder what the specs are on this sucker Mara1080p is the highend, def not this tv Sears only has 3 1080p's right now, one made by Sony, one by Samsung and one by Mitsubishi and they are the more expensive tv's. I can't remember right now if that Mag. is even HD, it might be ED. I know the smaller tv they have in the ad is not HD.
