dubbabubba Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I'm debating on whether to send our family photo in our Christmas cards this year to our friends & family or just family.
dessenma Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I send photos to family. I also send photos to friends I don't get to see very often.
Gray04 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 My family always has with the children who are in school. It is getting expensive though and not only am I scaling back who I send cards to I am doing the same with who I send pictures to. Really, am I the odd ball who just puts them with the rest of the pictures after we take the holiday decorations down? What do you do with the pictures you receive in cards??
Illinoismom Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Nope I do not send pictures of any one in any cards Bad I know
sns128 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I send them to my parents and siblings, dh's parents and sibling but other than that I don't send pictures out. Of course I'm a few years behind on sending photos so I really need to do that this year.
mynpyn Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I send the photo cards to everyone on my list of the boys. We live far away from family and friends so it is sometimes the only way people know what my kids look like from year to year!
Firemansgal311 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Yep, I take a pic of the kids in front of the tree BF weekend and send it out in the cards asap. You can get them pretty cheap either online or at walmart ranging from .12 to .19 :)
smangham Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 We do, but this may be the last year. Youngest is a hs senior.
bayhaysay Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I do photo cards every year. Usually just a snapshot and I order the cards at Walmart.
terrabini Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I usually send them to everyone one the list. I get the cheap ones taken at Walmart. But today I got a flyer from Sears for $3.99 a sheet with no sitting fee. I may check them out.
blakes_mommy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I did it only once. I would do it again but I just don't have the time to get to the store!
carheel Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 i just put my kids school pictures in the card, but this year my son will not be home for christmas so i am going to have a family picture taken when he comes home in nov.
love2beurwifey Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I hadnt sent any photos in the past to anyone but i may this year
kdaven Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I send a famly photo out. I love receiving pictures at Christmas time. I have an album where I set aside a couple of pages per family so that I can watch friends/famly grow. Its nice to see how the kids chance from year to year. School pictures are so expensive and you can take a photo to Wal-Mart and get Christmas cards done for so much less. Its the best time to send them. I'm a shutter bug and always have my camera on me snapping away. I tell friends/famly once you get a photo from me your on my list for life. Just love to send them out!
Hummingbird Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I usually send out school pictures of the girls to family and a few select friends.
JenT1292 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I always include a pic of my son in every card. This year we are going to have a family one done (haven't told dh yet, that should excite him, lol) so I will include a family one. I always include a pic in every card I send. Most of my cards are sent to people I don't see very often.
Turtle Mommy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I send photos to family. I also send photos to friends I don't get to see very often.Same here too!
misshayley Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 We are going to try to send a picture out this year, but that means that we have to get one taken soon. I'll probably have a friend snap a digital picture and then use the snapfish codes that I won from the McDonald's Monopoly game to print the pictures.
berry1014 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 We send out pictures to certain family and friends. Only the ones who we are in regular contact with and know that they want a picture.
tazolover Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 We do paper cards with a photo insert. I like to take candid photos of my kids dressed up in their finest and then send out the one that I just adore. Last year was very sweet. This year I will be taking their picture dressed up and barefoot on the beach. I hope it turns out!
glitterstarr Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 No I never send out photos and I have never sent out one of those long christmas news letters for a card neither. I think those letters are so tacky to send during the holidays instead of a card. NO offense to those who do send those letters instead of cards but the ones I receive are always bragging on little Susie or little Johnny that I end up laughing at the whole letter. LOL
druffing Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I still do and my dd's are married...include all family in photo...who wants to see dh and I instead of a cute new baby? LOL! We try to make ours meaningful for the year-a vacation for family...something that happened...etc.
copados1993 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 We have done this in the past of the kids Picture People Christmas photo. This year we are doing the whole family on the cards instead.
luv2shopnc Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I love sending family photo with Christmas cards. People always compliment me on them, it makes them feel special!
Guest bluesrule9 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 We do the kid thing. Seems to be the typical of most of the cards we receive.
chefbart Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 we like to send pics of our sweet puppies, 2 malteses and a yorkie.
guadarrama Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I have always sent pics the past couple of years (after getting married), but now we live in the same town as most of my family. I will still send to friends and relatives out of town, but not sure yet about those here.
