The $1 didn't make that much of a difference to me. I felt like queen sized flannel sheets were a pretty good deal at $16.99. If the quality is not what I expect, I think I can return them. FWIU Amazon is pretty good about that, provided the items are not destroyed, etc...

Everything I have purchased form them in the past has been books or electronics, where I knew what I was getting.

What quality can I expect form $17 sheets?

Any experience in Amazon returns?

Amazon is good with most returns. They'll refund everything except shipping. In question to $17 sheets, read the reviews. It seems the printed sheets look cheaper than the solids.

IMPORTANT_ PLEASE READ!!!!!!!

I just washed my king size floral rose set to put them on the bed, and when I took them out of the dryer, they have holes all in the top sheet!! It looks like the fabric was weak in that section. I called Amazon, and they said they will replace it, but I ordered 2 more sets, and I am going to wash those first and see if they do it too. One was a gift for my MIL for Christmas, but I don't want to give them to her and have them fall apart when she washes them!! I will report back when I wash and dry the other 2 sets.

I just got my three sets in. 2 twin sets for the kids, and a queen set for us. There was a lot of lint in the dryer, but hello...they are FLANNEL! I love them. They are really cozy feeling, and I don't think they are any thinner than what you'd get for the $40 flannels at WMart. The kids sets had the mittens and hats on them, and are super cute. I bought pink for our bed, as it is my favorite color. I'm so in love with Amazon right now!
