mywarmbluefleece Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Having a spell check on this would be amazing! Is this in the works?
Scott Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Having a spell check on this would be amazing! Is this in the works?I don't know of that being in the works. Personally, I don't think it is needed since the next generation of browsers have it built in and it works very well. I'm using firefox 2.0rc1 to post this now and it is marking all my words just like a word processor does. And you can right click to fix any spelling. It is sweet. I believe that if you are using v. 1.5 there is a plugin for it. Probably the same for Opera. I'm not sure about ie7 though.
Guest JustMeDiana Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I use the Google tool bar for spell check, filling forms and it's free http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/index.html?utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-google&utm_medium=ha&utm_term=google%20toolbar
Novac Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 If you use IE, you can rely on the Google Toolbar to help you spellcheck. The toolbar does the same for Firefox, but other FF extensions (and probably the 2.0 builtin) are better for that. Edit: and I think the official website is http://toolbar.google.com/
Marcster Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 One workaround for spelling is to run things through www.spellcheck.net.
mywarmbluefleece Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 I am actually a pretty good speller, but I thought it would improve the readability of the site, plus of course there are the occasional errors everyone makes. I think I might check out the links you gave me anyways. Thanks.
