Shirley89015 Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I am thinking of getting them early this year. But when do you all usually send them out to your family and friends??? Shirley
Cecilliadb Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I like to get them out early Dec. like in the first week.
bayhaysay Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 My goal is the first week of December. One year I sent them out on Dec. 21st. :)
alimfp Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 We send out holiday cards during the last week of November and first week of December.
ccarson1972 Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 If I do it, I try to have them out around the beginning of December.
Gator Pam Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 It all depends on when Hanukkah starts. I try to time it so they arrive during the eight day festival.
tinydancer34 Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Usually the first week in December, if I have my act together. Then some go out later than that - for people who send us cards that I forgot to send one to. I really should update my Christmas card list!
Marcster Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Usually when we start receiving ones sent to us... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Holidays/icon_redface.gif
ssf Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I usually aim for the 1st. week of December but don't actually get to it until the 2nd. week of December.
carheel Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I send mine out on the 1st of dec. so in about 3 weeks i will start to address them, a few a weekend, then i will be ready to send them.
elena_398 Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 1st or 2nd week of December here. I make my picture appointment for around the week of November 16th. Usually takes up to 2 weeks to get back, then I need time to write my note in each card.
smangham Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I mail them the day before Thanksgiving.
glitterstarr Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 When I get one from somebody else because if they don't send me one I don't send anybody else one. LOL
mom395222 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Usually by Dec. 8th. My kids have a contest ran by our little post office, to bring as many cards as they can to mail. Each class has a tally of which one brought the most, and they win a pizza party or something! The PO does it to promote getting your holiday mail out early. Last year my oldest sons class won, it doesn't hurt that their 1 grandma sends out about 300 cards:eyepoppin
codeblue Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Usually send them the day before Thanksgiving.
Gporter34 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I try to get them out the first week of December. I usually have so much going on from there until Christmas I will not get around to it if I don't do it early.
Turtle Mommy Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I think I am going to try and get them done at work(shhh..dont tell dh..he is my boss at work! LOL)so I can send them out the Sat after BF.
robinson68 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I usually mail mine the day after Thanksgiving I drop them off on my way home from BF shopping
blakes_mommy Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I try to get them out but also have opted not to cause I forget people and get yelled at by my MIL...
ms_mckenna Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Year before last we had so much on our platter that I completely forgot about them. Last year we had a really bad year so I just figured cutting out that money I would have spent on stamps was a good idea. This year I am thinking why bother lol noone noticed the last two years so doubtful I will send them this year. I do have two or three people I just buy cards for and send and I will continue to do that the first week in December.
cactusmom Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I confess, I havent bothered for several years. I am just too busy
Kaarak Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I clelebrate Christmas and Chaunkah. I send Christmas ones the second week of December and Chaunkah ones about 2 days before it starts.
