codeblue Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Just curious how many can make the BF rounds without having to drop stuff back at home and go back out. I go out every year with my friend and we always have to go back and unload her SUV after we have hit the door buster sales before going back out for general sales. Its a good thing we are less than 10 minutes from the stores.
jellybean051901 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Last year we made two trips home to drop things off
conj Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 it's an hour to most stores (best buy, circuit city, bed bath beyond, toys r us, etc) so only 1 trip. buy small things. :)
blakes_mommy Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I have a dodge grand caravan, so we only need one trip, luckily!
abentley Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Holy cow, my MIL and I have dropped off 4 suv loads at her office before. That in turn means, 4 trips home (25 miles away). then my hubby always wants to venture out later Friday as well!! Ughh, I hope gas drops here soon! We are still the 2nd highest state!
Christy Garner Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Where I shop is about 30 miles from home so I have to pack very carefullly. I go with my friend who drives a van and we have the whole back packed FULL and then we start putting things in the seats behind us and in the floor. Stuff literally falls out when you open the door. But we have a BLAST.
bayhaysay Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I shop 45 miles away from home so we just take one vehichle, but I can take the 3rd seat out of the van if I need to.
Tracy72 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 only one trip....hr from home so no back and forth.....but it is reallllly stuffed..lol
berry1014 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 There are several of us who venture out together on BF. I drive cause I have the biggest vehicle - a dodge grand caravan. We hit Walmart first cause it is the closest - only 5 minutes from my house. After Walmart we have to go back to my house to unload cause the van is pretty much filled. Once we unload we head back out shopping, by the time we finish shopping and get back home the van is filled again.
Melissa Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Last year was my first time shopping on Black Friday, and I just had the one carload. Since all the stores are about 30 minutes away, I make everything fit!
mrn8 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 One car load...and now I drive a Honda Civic. Actually, most of the stuff I'm looking for is personal electronics and sporting goods/clothes, so it doesn't take up a lot of room.
mtallen Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 One car load for me...I have an Explorer and I lay my back seats down...
RossMAN Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 One car load, our 2002 Honda Accord sedan has an ample trunk and reasonably spacious back seats.
Gurnee Al Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 One car load for me (unless I get the large screen LCD TV I want). I have an extended size Trailblazer that can hold a lot. If I need more space, I live less than one mile from where I'll shop, so dropping a load off will be no problem. :)

We could probably fit a 42" in our 4 door, although a 47-50" probably won't fit.
alimfp Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 One car easily - a van with the third seat removed provides PLENTY of cargo space (but then, we don't buy TV's on BF either, lol).
wyntyrose Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 depends where I am at if at my mothers then 6 car loads if at my own home state then one car load. We are half an hour away from stores and North Country Weather is unpredictabe for more than that.

shopping mom Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 The past few years we have had four vehicles out and all 4 end up full. This year there will only be two vehicles but we will make it work in one trip.
nancy_7997 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 we have a strategy for BF since all the stores are near home we use 2 cars & 1 pick up. 1st we fill up the Pick up with the Larger Boxes/items and drop off at home and the rest of day we fill up the 2 other cars.

I had never heard of this before, but I trust that it is true.
bugsette Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 wow!!! you guys buy alot only one trip for me
ms_mckenna Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 One car load We have a quad cab so that that does not fit in the back gets flipped between the front seat and the bed.
Guest mldepalma Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 1 car load (with 4 car seats removed!) since I live about 20 minutes from the big shopping and I don't want to waste the time coming home and then going back out! But this year, I have a car-top carrier if I need it!
magickallight Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I have a van and take out the back seat to hold more STASH - only 1 trip needed (MOST Years).
elena_398 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I don't take the time to run home. Of course this year I have a Pontiac Vibe instead of my van (could be a different story). But, Im sure with my being by myself, I'll be fine. I have the trunk, backseat, and passenger side to fill if necessary. LOL. (I always bring a blanket or two to cover my purchases also. Never want to advertise to would be robbers what I bought)
