brynnfromtheblock Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Do you hide them, store them or wrap right away? I end up wrapping within a couple of days so noone gets nosy!!
Bunniq Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 On a good BF I am home by 09:00am, and if family is visting I will place my purchases in my closet and then take a nap so I can be a little alert when they start to need the "hostess". In that case I usually wrap when they have gone to bed later that night. However if family is not visiting, which this year they may not because of space, I try to wrap as soon as I get home and then I nap. I start shopping long before BF, but try to make BF my last shopping day for Christmas gifts. I save all wrapping for that day or night. The tree goes up on the Sunday following Thanksgiving, and I like to have the gifts wrapped and ready.
mrn8 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I really suck at wrapping gifts, so I either pay for in-store (or in-mall) gift wrapping or it gets done Christmas Eve night.
RossMAN Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I really suck at wrapping gifts, so I either pay for in-store (or in-mall) gift wrapping or it gets done Christmas Eve night.Same here. I'd prefer the store or mall do it for me :)
blakes_mommy Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I hide them first then pull them out all at once. I am going to try to just wrap them as I get them but I don't see that happening!!
berry1014 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 After we get home from BF shopping, we stash the gifts. I then spread my wrapping over the first 2 weeks in December.
NeepNeep Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 About a week before Christmas. No prying eyes, as we have no children at home. But a few years ago I wrapped early, placed them under the tree and awoke to shredded wrapping. Seems the cat didn't understand there was still a week to go...
JazzMama Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I usually wait until the day after (Saturday) to wrap.
Aaron Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I really suck at wrapping gifts, so I either pay for in-store (or in-mall) gift wrapping or it gets done Christmas Eve night.Same here. :)

Snoodles Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Some on BF and then the rest over the weekend. We also purchase our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving so I want something under the tree right away.
jeninpa Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I wrap for the whole 2 weekends before Christmas and sometimes Christmas Eve.

able Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 i odnt mind wrapping ,and end up wrapping not only gifts from me but i wrap for a few people in my family who cant wrap.
Christy Garner Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 The gifts i buy on black friday are usually for my kids from Santa so most of them are not wrapped, the ones that are from mom and dad or to other people, I will wrap usually at the last minute. Black friday weekend is very busy for me. We put up our tree that weekend and decorate the house for the holidays so no wapping that weekend.
abentley Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I love, love, love, love to wrap. I try to set aside a day to do this, but yet I don't put any "stay at home " gifts under our tree. Just the "need to be delivered". I still have my lil ones still beleiving in Santa, so they get special Santa Paper. I am trying to talk my hubby or girlfriends into going to Vegas for the weekend, shop all day, have dinner, a show, and have a wrapping marathon all night. It would be all finished when we go home!!
jbearcbear Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 It depends. Sometimes right away; sometimes later; sometimes last minute. But it gets done eventually. I do love wrapping presents though, it makes me really happy. I love Christmas!
cre8kos4u Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I usually don't get my wrapping done until Christmas Eve. Every year I say I won't wait until the last minute...every year I waite until the last minute.
shopping mom Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I usually wrap while watching Christmas movies. It takes many different nights but I enjoy it.
smangham Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I usually hide them.....then wrap a few here and there...when everyone is gone at the same time. I like for them to come home and there is a pile under the tree.....which I have to stop myself from putting up in early November...sometimes.
love2beurwifey Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Most of the time I wrap them the weekend after
jellybean051901 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I wrap them closer to Christmas just so I can see what I bought and in case something needs returned
StephanieD Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I like to wrap as soon as possible. I usually spend all Black Friday evening decorating and wrapping.
Melissa Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I hide them and wrap a few at a time while the kids are in school.
