knittingarrows Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Any word at all yet - I've got an $85 rewards credit burning a hole in my pocket already! I'm looking for a home stereo/surround sound/new TV for DH.
Chunka Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 i would love to see an external hard drive on their list! and a new headset (I work from home)
raymacfla Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 They have a golden opportunity to outshine Officemax with their ad, so we'll see.
immortaljackwest Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Man, why isn't this ad out? ... I mean we have Office Max and Staples already... This is one of two ads I am still waiting on to finish out my decisions on where to shop.
he8765 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Office Depot seems to be the last ad to be released. I am guessing that they will have hard drive deals (external and internal) and some free-after-rebate software. I hope the ad is released soon!

pogiporkchop Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I hope there's a bit more to the ad than this. I'm sure we'll see it posted here quickly.
kaykwilts Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 For your information those DVD-R are not too good. We recently purchased some on sale from there and about 25 % of them are not good for anything but coasters.
pcsoon Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'd like a couple of these APC 500VA Battery Backup - $19.99. Power outages have been happening once a week recently at the house.

knittingarrows Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'm good for two of the SD cards - one in each of mine & DH's stocking, and a card reader too I guess. I want a usb drive too - but just need a smaller one.
jadedmomof2 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Ugh..why does office depot always do the stupid rebates?
johjstc Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Ugh..why does office depot always do the stupid rebates?almost everything has rebates
disneytati Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Ok, does anyone know how much is the rebate for the $299 toshiba laptop? If it's $100, it's a good deal... I guess Office Depot is not so crowded as Best Buy, right?
myervin2001 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Is anyone familiar with the HP for $99? Has this ad been scanned yet as I can't find it?
outbreakm Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 What time do people start getting in line for Office Depot on black friday? I live in Los Angles and hope its not to busy.
Guest Boraxo Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Last year OD sent a lawyer letter to another BF site requesting a cease and desist on the advance posting of the advert. So my guess is they are keeping it under tight wrap this year. Quite stupid. After all, isn't the idea of the advert to drive as much traffic into your store as you can? Most people would kill for free publicity!
Julie12981 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Who will be going to Office Depot to buy the $299 laptop? And if so what time will you get there?
disneytati Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Who will be going to Office Depot to buy the $299 laptop? And if so what time will you get there?I am thinking of asking my friend to go there (I'm not gonna be in the US on BF, you know...), but I still don't know. It all depends on the rebate value. If it's up to $100, it's worth it. I don't do rebates, they don't send them to Brazil.

Are you sure you don't want to spend $1000 on airfare to save $300 on a laptop? BTW, I hope the friend is a really good one. He's going to have to spend hours in line for you to get that laptop.
cook4andy Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 For all interested in the $299.00 laptop at Office depot. I have a friend who works there, he told me the laptop will be $499.00 with $200.00 off in rebates. To our computer gurus out there, do you think this is still a good deal? Thanks!
asweepay Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 The specs for the 299.99 computer at OD, it noticed it said 56k modem v.90, does that mean its not wireless compatible? I really have no idea about computers. Thanks for any help!
cook4andy Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 The specs for the 299.99 computer at OD, it noticed it said 56k modem v.90, does that mean its not wireless compatible? I really have no idea about computers. Thanks for any help! The Toshiba Satellite L35-S2171 is an affordable option for those seeking mobility in a notebook computer. It offers a 15.4" widescreen LCD display with TruBrite™ technology, Atheros® 802.11b/g wireless connectivity, high-speed memory and the Intel Celeron M processor 420, providing extended battery life. An 80GB hard drive provides ample space for MP3s, digital photos and more. It also has a DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive to play DVD and burn and play and CDs. Copied from their web site, from reading the above, it seems it does?! Hope this helps.
