Brad Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 One of the ways to personalize your posts here on the forum is by using an avatar. We have hundreds of them available for you to choose from, and once you have made 50 posts and have been a member for at least two weeks, you may use your own custom avatar. To change your avatar, follow these steps. First, click on the "User CP" link at the far left of the blue navigation bar (to the left of the "GottaPoints" link) on every forum page: - You will then be brought to your user control panel which looks similar to this: - On the left side column, click the "Edit Avatar" link to go to the avatar selection page: On this page, you can select one of the many avatars we have on the forum. We have many categories - just use the drop-down menu to browse through them all until you find one that you like. Once you have made 50 posts on the forum, within an hour the bottom section will appear and will allow you to upload a picture from your computer to use as your avatar, or you may also enter the web address (URL) of an image hosted elsewhere to use as your cutom avatar. Please do not use any avatars that would be considered offensive, or they will be removed. If you have any questions or need help, please reply to this thread. Thanks :) Please keep all replies directly related to this topic. Off-topic replies will be deleted.

Change it back to GottaDeal v3.6 and then you'll be able to access the User CP menu by clicking on the link.

mom2monkiesx3 Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 In addition to the 100 posts, you need to be a member for at least a month. So it is really just the 2 weeks in the original post?!?! YEAH!!!! Thanks so much!!
tntsmomie Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Question about avatars.... I'd like to change mine, (I know how to change it already), but is there a rule about what they can be?? No no, it's nothing bad....but I'm a member of an absolutely free health/weight-loss website and have an avatar that says, "I'm lost x# pounds with __", and lists the name of the site. There's no catch to the site, and I've been a member of it for over a year. It's so wonderful that I'd love to share it with others, but don't know if that's against Gottadeal rules or not. I would gain nothing from it (b/c it's free) other than the satisfaction of knowing that my avatar may have lead others to their free resources and a healthier lifestyle. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!!
