Jeffwo
$629......Dell Inspiron E1505 Single Core Notebook Computer (E1505S1) - Core Duo T2050 1.60GHz/60GB/512MB. LOL... the ad says Single Core Notebook but when you click through Dell it shows a Core Duo T2050 1.60GHz processor. Anyone know for sure which it actually is? turtle*
Core Duo i think its just the name of the processor, like centrino and stuff. single core looks like it to me. But i'm not 100% just about 80%
labgeek
T2050 is a Core Duo not Core Solo. And while it is "just a name" it does tell you if it is single or dual core. Core Solo = single core. Core Duo = older dual core. Core 2 Duo = new dual core. The only Core Solo E1505 being offered from what I see is the low-end with the T1350 http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/entnb_e1505?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhsProcessors Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7400 (2.16GHz/667MHz FSB/4MB Cache)Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7200 (2GHz/667MHz FSB/4MB Cache)Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T5600(1.83GHz/667MHz FSB/2MB L2 Cache)Intel® Dual CoreTM Processor T2050(1.66GHz/667MHz FSB/2MB Cache)Intel® CoreTM Solo Processor T1350(1.66GHz/667MHz FSB/2MB Cache) My personal opinion ... for $100 I'd jump up to the Core 2 Duo T5500 model. RossMAN
My personal opinion ... for $100 I'd jump up to the Core 2 Duo T5500 model.$100 well spent. RAM, hard drive and optical drives can easily be upgraded later on.
