I was able to use my 5.00 TRU coupon tonite, it didn't scan but the cashier put the number in. However, my friend who was with me went to a different cashier and they wouldn't take it because it didn't scan and she said it was a photocopy, which it wasn't so she never got to use it. How can this happen?

How can this happen?

Whenever the cashier wont accept it because it's a copy, I just say that TRU sent it to me in an email. The worst case that ever happens is they call over a manager...the managers never ask questions and just type in the number and send me on my way.

yep - I'd a called a manager. Although I've never had a problem with coupons at TRU, I am the first to call a manager if they didn't accept a legal coupon.
