I just purchased this camera last week because it was so highly rated in consumer reports. I LOVE IT!!! This camera is absolutely unbelievable for the price and outstanding quality pictures it takes. I highly recommend this one if anyone who is looking for a new camera.

I also love the Canon cameras. I will be getting a new one soon.

What kind of battery life do you get with this one?

I have the A610 and I think it's a leeeeetle bit better than the 620, but as far as battery life- phenomenal! I use 4 rechargable AAs and haven't swapped them out in a long time. I don't use the camera everyday, but I have no concerns with the batteries. On a trip or something, I'd probably top them off every night.

My ring pic was with the A 610 in handheld macro mode (which you didn't comment on, BTW ;))

I just got mine but according to consumer reports it has an excellent battery life. It states that battery life is 500 shots. Hope this helps.

When you get some "real world" data, and have a better feel for it, I would love to know what you think of the battery life.

Thanks
