It basically has 2 processors on a single chip. This allows you to accomplish many tasks much quicker than with a standard single core chip. Intel Core Duo is better for laptops than AMD's chips, the exact opposite of Intel vs AMD on the desktop. The Intel laptop dual core chips are fast but run cool (and quiet), while their desktop P4 chips are slower and run very hot. Apple uses this laptop chip to make their fast but tiny and silent Mac Minis. This is an incredible deal, I'm tempted to get one as a desktop replacement but I don't need a laptop so I'm waiting for next month when Intel's new "Conroe" desktop processors will be out. I didn't know if the AMD would be better. Anyways, I got this deal, but made upgrades to the Ram and Video Card. I'll let u know how it turns out when it gets here.
