Shopko to close all of its 200+ stores

Green Bay– Another big retailer is going down, and this time it is a Wisconsin-based company.

 

Michelle Hanson, with Shopko media relations, confirmed the news and said liquidation sales are set to begin and she expects the stores to close in 10 to 12 weeks.

Many of these places are having a hard time competing against places like Amazon. I’ve said it in the past it’s hard to compete when places like amazon can build cheaper buildings because they are warehouses and that big portions of them are automated.
