Scott Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 This is on my short lists of GPS systems to get. I've read nothing but good things about TomTom. Plus, their commercials are funny. Geeks.com is a great vendor too... never had a problem with them.
RossMAN Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 We recently ordered a Garmin c320 GPS and love it. It's not really that useful in the city (unless you get lost easily) but in unfamiliar cities it sure is nice to have.

Yes, I am looking into GPS and have heard great things about TomTom. I borrowed a friend's TomTom GO 300 and it was very easy to use, the maps were up-to-date too. And the commercials are funny, I like how the wife calls her husband Doug Doug.

Personally, I like the "Scott Scott" one.
Corporate Gal Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Can't imagine why you would like the "Scott, Scott" one. Have you had a chance to borrow a TomTom- I really appreciated being able to test out my friend's GO 300. Anyone seen the new TomTom GO 510 and 910 at electronics stores? I heard from a gadget savvy friend that they are now in Best Buy, Circuit City and Radio Shack. So we can "test drive", pardon the bad pun, them now!
RossMAN Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Here's a cool web site with free POI files for TomTom owners!!!
Corporate Gal Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Here's a fun take on the TomTom POI- they already have POI with Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts- trouble right , and added this contest that lets you win treats (ice cream or a TomTom 700): http://www.clubtomtom.com/general/ready%e2%80%a6set%e2%80%a6spoon/
