sneakers1234 Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Great rebates if the store has it. That's my biggest complaint about RiteAid over Walgreens. I go to RiteAid at 9:15 a.m. Sunday before church & there's already 10 people buying the rebate items.. it's all because they never have enough. Can go Walgreens later in the week & they always have the freebies!
Corporate Gal Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I have rarely found any sale flier items in stock at CVS. And they, as well as the local safeway refuse to give rain checks. Grr any concept of customer service guys?
alimfp Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I've worked at Rite Aid in the past (very very short time, it was terrible) and they are supposed to issue rain checks for any items that are advertised. Also, I've picked up rain checks at Safeway in the past.. odd.
USC Becca Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I always get rainchecks from Rite Aid. I've donated $100s worth of stuff over the past couple years from them
sneakers1234 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 How do you use a raincheck if the item is supposed to be FAR... by the time they get it in the rebate period is over . Whenever they have new products they never have it then I notice it the next month.
loved1 Posted May 3, 2006 Author Posted May 3, 2006 I don't have a problem finding the items in stock at the Rite Aid I pass on my way to work, but their customer service leaves much to be desired. The 1st time I used the rebate program, the store had a malfunctioning cash register that was not printing the store address, transaction number, or the cash register number so it was useless for purposes of the rebate program. I had to return the items to the store & repurchase them & this took the cashier 30 mins. When I went to the store several weeks later, before I would allow someone to ring me at this same register I asked if it still had this problem. It did even though I had complained to the store manager & Rite Aid by email & their customer service line. I went back several weeks later & still the register was not fixed although I had complained again. They never bothered to offer any concession for all the time I wasted returning to the store & repurchasing the items. That's why I only purchase items from Rite Aid that are FAR or close to being free w/ the rebate & a coupon. I had a customer service issue w/ CVS a few months ago & I do have to give them credit, the regional mgr. & the 800 customer service line seemed to take it much more seriously than Rite Aid did w/ the issues I raised to them. I felt that it bordered on fraud to knowingly issue receipts w/o enough info. to obtain a rebate or even return an item & many people just would not have the time to make the effort I did. Anyway, that's my 2 cents on Rite Aid.
