bribri25
It seems this year, more than in previous years, many retailers are offering their BF items on sale now just for a day or so. Often, these are the same items in their BF at the same price but I wonder if some times they are slighter higher prices. Are the retailers trying to get your business first (before you go somewhere else on BF)? Are they trying to get you to buy things impulsively thinking yo're getting as good of deals? cllehto
I think a lot more retailers are having the one day sales. There are some pretty good sales out there. I'm sure they are trying to get you to buy from them before you go to another retailer. I think it is nice to be able to get some things before Black Friday so you do not have to choose which place to go first, knowing that the other places will probably be out of whatever great deal you want at that store. I also wonder if their prices will be better on Black Friday-or if another retailer will have the same thing a little cheaper.
bribri25
I like to plan Black Friday. I get the ads, study them, compare them, and make a list; then study them again. It's difficult for me to be in the middle of making this plan and a retailer says (in the John Madden voice), "Boom! Here's some of our stuff for BF on sale today only". I haven't finished looking, yet. Kohls, for example, I could have picked up some of their stuff but I wasn't ready with everything I wanted and didn't get myself figured out to be just over one of those $50 Mark's to maximize KC.
bbberta
I like a good sale anytime, but like others I wonder if things will be cheaper on BF. I DID buy a few things when Kohl’s had their sneak peek sale a few weeks ago, buying things I always like to get on BF (soft cuddly blankets for 7.99!) Brad
You have to pay attention as there are "Black Friday Now" sales which have the actual Black Friday ads items available early (such as Best Buy) but then you have stores that have "Black Friday Now" sales each week in October and November leading up to BF and the deals are nothing like their actual BF deals. Ifyou know what you want research it early here. Most prices are already out and sometimes a few more dollars for a wanted item is not that bad. Buy it now and if you snag it on BF return the higher price one . Win Win
Kash
In some cases you may even be able to get it cheaper right now. For instance the Kohl’s one day sale had the throws at the BF prices and they had a 20% off coupon. I knew I want them so I got them early and cheaper. len_mullen
Most in these parts know I shop 24x365. BF is just another sale to me. Like Santa, I am making my list and checking it twice. There is risk and uncertainty associated with Black Friday shopping. If I see my item on sale for a great price, I will buy it even if I could get it a little cheaper on BF. I already paid $30 over BF for a 27" curved monitor. I have purchased clothes from Kohls. I grabbed a great slow cooker at a good price from BB&B. If you see a good deal, buy it. You can always return, price match, or price adjust.
