Toy books or Black Friday ads - better for deals?

I don’t think so. For the most part the toy books are more of a catalog, less of a sale ad. You’ll see many items at regular price in some of the toy books.

Not really. They have some decent coupons in them but depending on what your looking for BF has always been better. Some items in those books will not be on sale BF so you may want to scoop those items in and wait on the rest

That's what I've noticed in the past. Usually most don't end up being on sale BF. I didn't know if anyone actually picked up something cheaper on BF than the books. I usually have to cross reference when the ads come out.

If I remember correctly if something is on sale in the toy ad I usually don't find it in that store on BF personally I think I have enough toys for the grand babies but I still need some clothes and shoes

Usually there's a disconnect between the toy book items and BF items, but you're more likely to get much better deals on BF. However, if it's a toy that you want that's in the toy book, it more than likely won't be on BF so you should get it during the toy book sale.
