My employeer (local hospital) has one although the tree is considered a safety hazard so we have to go the HR office to pick up the tags.

Locally, I've seen them at Walmart, Kmart, Kroger.  Also, if you have a Salvation Army chapter locally check with them.  They sponsor the program here as well.

A lot of schools have them as well as your local Department of Human Services ( or Child & Family Services or whatever it may be called in your area). Also, your local animal control has them if you're willing to donate to the poor animals without a family.

We have one at our church (the "Giving Tree") but I used to see them at JCPenney's all the time. I always used to participate in the Walgreen's one for senior citizens but haven't seen that in probably 3 years.

Walgreens sent a letter to the Santa for a Senior programs and stated that this year corporate has made the decision to not allow any trees in their stores. Although it is a huge undertaking I found a store that will allow me to set a tree for my seniors

was it the actual tree they rejected? or the "tree" for the senior's needing an angel?

i think asking the local schools is a great idea.. they would know who is actually in need. , vs some trees that i wonder how certain people have gotten listed on them...( but not going there tonight)

Walgreens will not allow trees at all, so the organization that sponsored the program here cancelled it

My employeer has also participated in the Senior Tree program (although no actual tree allowed) and quite honestly, that's my favorite thing to do over the Angel Tree.  We lost my grandmother in July and while she was able to spend the last years of her life at home with anything and everything she needed many others aren't so if my Senior wants a simple blanket or a sweatshirt then he/she gets 3!

we have 2 trees at work.  one in each main lobby.  For years I've been participating with my office - but I just switched jobs, and offices, so this will be all new.

Our Kroger's has a tree and my place of employment does one for our own employees/families that may need extra help.  My office also sponsors local foster children. I am sure your Chamber of Commerce in your area could help your find someone in need.

Or call your local YMCA to see what they do.

I know mine does the shoebox program.  Not sure about the Angel Tree.

We would adopt a foster child thru DFCS.  My kids and I would actually deliver the gifts to the foster parents.
