Nate Dogg
Does anyone remember how this worked last year? They said on facebook they will be doing them again this year but I am getting old and forgetful. I know I had one on last year, but I cannot remember if I had to stay in line or if I was able to walk around.
riven3d
i think the wristbands you could walk around, i believe they were for the 1 hour guarantee items, if you got a wristband the item was yours you just had to pay for it and go pick it up in another area. if no wristband then you had to wait
Bopeep
Yes, you could go get the wristband, then go do other shopping and come back for the wristband item. Not all of the 1 hr guarantee items were on the wristband list, and not all of the wristband items were 1 hour guarantees. It worked wonderfully, because I was able to take advantage of the other sales instead of having to wait in 1 line for hours. The only downfall, and I don't know if this was everywhere or just my Walmart, was when you picked up the item you had to pay for it right there and they allowed you to check out everything you had. It made that line take a very long time. My sister and daughter in law went through the regular checkout lines and were finished way before I even got to the counter.

So people were having to go get in the checkout lane again after they bought their item.

Hmmm, I don't know which would be worse now that I think about it.

So people were having to go get in the checkout lane again after they bought their item. For the one hour guarantees they gave us a ticket and we paid up front. I didn't get the actual item at the store, so not sure how they did it for those who were able to get the item that day. For the cheapest computer, they gave us a band, and then we had to be back in line by a certain time. For the cheaper computer, we checked out at the pharmacy counter. The person over there let us check out everything as long as you didn't have too many things. But, for some reason, it wouldn't let him check out the TV (well, the ticket for the TV). So, I had to get in another line to do that. But, I know they wouldn't let them check out anything else in some of the other departments.
