tn20
Can anyone give me an idea on the quality of these sweatshirts? I would like to buy some for gifts, but one of the people I am considering buying for is fairly picky about their clothing. I read the reviews on the site for a few styles and they weren't great for quality. I'm not expecting luxury for the price, but are these department store quality or more Wal-Mart quality? Thanks! redraccoon
Definitely worth the price - the quality is good. Glad this came up again - got two great gifts worth $80 for less than half that!!
cherylg
I have purchased from Finishline for the past 5 or 6 years and have always been pleased with the service and quality of hoodies. Last year one of the hoodies I purchased wasn't the nice sweatshirt cotton material, it was a nasty slick polyester. I hated it. I just received this year's order and all 6 (including children's sizes) are the nasty slick polyester material. I am incredibly disappointed. I am considering returning them all. If this is what Finishline is selling now, I won't be purchasing anymore!

I'm wondering if the blend is better and you ended up with straight poly, although I might just hold out for a deal on 100% cotton.
redraccoon
Most of the pullover sweatshirts have thisFEATURES:•MATERIAL: Polyester blend•FIT: ClassicI got full zip hoodies that are thisFEATURES:•FABRIC: Poly/cotton blend•FIT: Relaxed I've never seen the heavyweight cotton sweatshirts for this kind of price. tn20
Oh, I know I would have to spend more on 100% cotton ones, just trying to decide if it is worth it or not... and wondering if the cotton-poly blend is a nicer quality and it is just the full poly that cherylg wasn't happy with. I don't like the slick polyester stuff.
cherylg
With the exception of 1 last year, the old ones are 80% cotton and 20% polyester. All 6 this year are 100% polyester. And FYI, I purchased Navy, Memphis, James Madison, Illinois-Chicago, Xavier and Boston University so I couldn't blame the polyester on 1 conference or region. purplegop
I ordered six - Marshall (2), WVU, Texas a&m, Texas, and Harvard and they are all the 80/20 blend. Sorry you got all polyester...I wouldn't have been happy with that either!
redraccoon
The full zip hoody's I ordered arrived promptly. I checked the fabric. Not super heavy weight - but thick enough, and not the glossy slippery stuff mentioned above. If they had been of that quality, they would be going back. All in all I think they were worth the price. Sizing and texture seem to be fine. I think my guys will like them.
