Most retail establishments do not play that way. One possible reason is that it would out them in regards to limited quantities and they want to stay clear of that.

I misread that at first and wondered what the big deal was about a free soda... definitely over the top for a carbonated beverage. :)

LOL LOL LOL LOL can you imagine?!

I thought it said "soda" too, I re-read it 4 times. I was wondering who would sleep out for 2 days for a soda! LOL

LOL LOL LOL

I heard a lot of awful stuff about that IKEA opening.....

It was insane. The first day, it was a free sofa, the second day a chair and then a gift basket with stuff from their market which is no big deal. The guy who was first in line to get the sofa of course made the six o'clock news.

I can see a day or two if it's spectacular sale or something huge that's free, but otherwise no and this year with walmart doing the 50' tv guarantee that should eliminate alot of the camping.

Walmart's offering has no effect upon the camping ethic. Walmart does not promote the same ticketing model, therefore, the absence of tents.

One of our friends in Longview, TX posted a pic from work today of an occupied tent outside of Best Buy! Can't figure out how to post it here since it's on Facebook?

There's a tent at University BestBuy in Sarasota FL. No one is in it. Turds. Hate people leaving their stuff and going home for the night.
