brandibug Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Went to two different Home Depots today, both had Christmas 50% off and still had a great deal of outdoor inflatables, christmas lights, and other holiday decor left. Also found some battery operated pillar candles that can be used far longer than holiday, but they were marked down as well. (the individual ones, not the boxed set. It wasn't half price.) 1
brandibug Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Kohls has their Christmas at 75% off, and mine still had a ton of ornaments and decor left. Everything was 75% off except the Hallmark ornaments and they were 50%.
mywarmbluefleece Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I've been looking all season for a Christmas tree skirt that didn't cost $40. Finally found one. Thanks for the heads up! 1
smurfgirl Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I got a tree there today for $42 before coupons. It was one of the floor displays. I looked it up online when I got home and it was a $500 tree. The manager told me he just wanted to get rid of them! 2

artesian Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Went to two different Home Depots today, both had Christmas 50% off and still had a great deal of outdoor inflatables, christmas lights, and other holiday decor left. Also found some battery operated pillar candles that can be used far longer than holiday, but they were marked down as well. (the individual ones, not the boxed set. artesian Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Trying to keep track of what stores are at what discount on holiday items. My run today was Taget, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes and Kmart. All stores were 50% on most items. Update the post with store and % in your travelers. I'm really looking to get lights at 75%. Alot of the stores seem like that jacked some prices to where even 50 doesn't look all that great
freesia39 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Hi Everyone:I merged all three post christmas sales threads into one. Whenever you see a new discount at a store, post it here.
HansieDZ Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 My local Kroger-affiliated grocery store had some good deals today. I scored more Dove,Aveno,Axe and Gillette gift sets for 50% off ($5) PLUS I was able to use coupons to make an entire set less than the price of one individual item! The candy prices were only 30% off but almost everything else Christmas related was 70%.
OutToLunch Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 How much were the coupons for the Dove, aveno and Gillette sets for??!!
artesian Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 3 local Targets went 70% today on Christmas items
HansieDZ Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 How much were the coupons for the Dove, aveno and Gillette sets for??!!They were the ones from P&G insert (monthly) so like $1.50-$3. It didn't state on the coupons that it wasn't good on the gift sets,so the cashier ran them through! The $2 Axe one was one I digitally loaded because I had used all my paper ones earlier.
flpelly Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Today my So. FL target store had christmas items at 70% off, however, candy and food were 50%. I bought a few things that I didn't think would last until 90%. Many items were in regular dept., like Elf on the shelf set($9) and Hallmark's Jingle and Bell sets(10.50) were in book dept. My cvs stores went 75% off christmas, toys and some other gift items(robes, candles, appliances, etc) but perfume gift sets and candy/food items were 50% on Sunday. My best buy was the Charlie Brown x-mas tree for $3.50 and Halmark's Bell book/doll set for $9.
asenap01 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 This is our first year to have target. When do they usually bump Christmas clearance to 90%? Our target still has a ton.
MarkdownQueen Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 This is what I scored from 2 different Targets at 70%.
MarkdownQueen Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I also scored stuff at Kirklands, Michael's on Friday for 75%. Walmart was at 50%. The pictures are in the order posted.
artesian Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 This is our first year to have target. When do they usually bump Christmas clearance to 90%? Our target still has a ton.Usually yes with 2 or 3 days of going 70. our around here don't have much left at 90 off
asenap01 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Thanks we will keep checking. My target still has a ton of stuff and a crap load of lights.
angelfallenhere Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Lowes is 75% off todayI got a lot over filled 3 buggies.
brandibug Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Garden Ridge has their Chrsitmas at 50% off. Still lots of ornaments and trees, some outdoor stuff.
artesian Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Lowes went 75% on most items. Went to two HD's today. One still 50 other is 75 YMMV.
flpelly Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 So. FL Walmart 75% off today...Lots of inexpensive, makeup, shave and perfume gift sets.
mcwalker Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Kmart in Manhattan went today to 70% for all Christmas, except light sets are now 75% off. They still had a lot of variety. Selection of LED lights was limited, but they still have some.
txsupermom Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Walmart 75% off and scored 2 carts full! Not usually a wally world fan, but so glad Target didn't have the dog food I needed and forced my trip to Walmart!! Found glad and ziploc containers for .68, Kleenex hand towels .71, 3 lb box of chocolates for 2.46, bath sets for 2.47, loads of other items that I can't remember. They also had the 3packs of Puffs tissues with lotion marked down to 1.98. That's 50% but if you have coupons, might be worth the trip.
peppysfireball Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I'm waiting for Shopko to go 90% before I drive the hour to get there. Last year it was first of February. HTey still had 4 aisles of paper and decorations. I usually call once a week and ask the current discount. On February 15 last year they said it would all be boxed up and shipped out.
MarkdownQueen Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Pier 1 went 75% off today. I got some really nice stuff for next year (Reindeer, Gingerbread, Christmas balls, etc) might be worth a look if you have a Pier 1 near you.Sears is also at 70%.
kathytheshopper Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Lots of Michaels stuff went 80% off today. They didn't have it signed yet at 11:00 this morning so I had to have them scan a lot of things. Got tons of stuff for the Samaritans Purse shoebox project. Walgreens is 75% off too.
Timswife81404 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 My 2 local Wal-Marts went 75% off yesterday. I scored several gift sets and some decor. They had TONS! I went back today for a couple of grocery items and happened upon the air freshener isle and found Febreze and Glade sprays, candles, automatic spray refills, plug ins, and set & refresh in holiday scents for 75% off. My store had TONS of them!! The scents were......Febreze - cranberry cider & glistening pine.......Glade - apple cinnamon cheer, frosted berry kiss, and sparkling spruce. My local Kmart went 70-75% today. They also have an additional 50% off clearance toys, but I didn't find anything good. I'm not sure when that sale started though.
kdspark Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 My WM was wiped out yesterday when they went 75%. The wrapping paper was suspiciously all gone?So I headed to Kmart and stocked up and they still had a ton at 70% so picked up a bunch of misc. stuff too.
