What stores do you plan to shop at this Thanksgiving / Black Friday?  Check all stores that apply in each of the four questions of the survey!

This is the fourth year I have done this poll. The format has changed in response to limits of the new Forum software.  There are now four questions in the poll.

I checked stores for Thanksgiving,BF and Sat/Sun too. Hope that doesn't skew your stats!

I included my whole TG/BF weekend shopping plans.

I didn't vote for Target because I won't be going until Saturday for their holiday items sale.

Looks like my biggest shopping list is at Walgreens! All the other stores have been knocked down to one item only so I'll probably just go online for those.

Our 2 biggest shopping spots aren't on the list. Especially looking forward to Belk and Dillard's on BF. Plan to be buying a sport jacket for our son that is normally 350.00 and it will be 70% off! Wouldn't happen if it weren't for that!

The software limited me to 50 choices per question, so I had to leave some out, but maybe those will make it back next year in exchange for some others that get few votes.

Anyone else have a popular store that I missed in the list?

To sum up things so far, with 56 members voting:

 

Walmart is #1 with 13.1% followed fairly closely by Target at 10.8% of respondents.

 

Kohls & J.C.Penney are tied at 5.5% closely followed by Toy-R-Us, K-Mart, Best Buy, & Macys.

 

Somewhat surprising to me is Sears lackluster showing at only 2.0% since they have broad merchandise and good deals.

 

J.C.Penney's showing is a bit up from last year I think (I didn't look), as they are making a better effort this year.

 

Best Buy always gets a lot of noise on this site as an electronics leader, but their showing is always lower because their size and range of merchandise is smaller than the department stores (or is it just because Dev/BigJimSlade won't be camping out there this year?)

 

Not so many people going to outlet centers.  Maybe because many of the other stores will be open all night too, now (and outlet centers aren't near everyone's homes).

 

For online, Amazon is expected to be the big winner (of course), but people are also expecting to shop Target.com, BestBuy.com, and Walmart.com. 

 

Anyone else want to add your plans?  Or change your earlier response to reflect changes in plans?

Did you shop the stores you thought you would shop, or did your plans change?  I didn't get to a couple of planned stores, especially Kohls, which I have always shopped in the past.

My plans changed.  I was going to head to Kohls and Target, but I ended up doing all of my shopping online and getting everything I was planning on getting at the stores, so that was a pleasant surprise.  I shopped online at Amazon, Kohls, and Bath & Body Works.
