Which stores will price match on BF?

MOST stores have Black Friday/Timed Sales/Doorbuster clauses.

When dealing with computer systems (desktops/laptops/netbooks) the stores and manufacturers will create special sku and model numbers.

I would go to each stores website and look for PM or PA policy.

Example: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Payment-Pricing/Best-Buy-Low-Price-Guarantee/pcmcat297300050000.c?id=pcmcat297300050000

BB says they will NOT PM items with no stock item or limited quanties.

I hope this helps.

WM will NOT PM this year

http://www.walmart.com/cp/Christmas-Ad-Match/1159720?povid=P1171-C1110.2784+1715.2777-L0?wmlspartner=RjWYtCqO0*M&sourceid=23303629813817716815&affillinktype=10&veh=aff

I will check on this. There seems to be two policies in force. The "Christmas ad match" appears to exclude Black Friday because of the nature of the sale. Black Friday items must be matched at the approved hours to qualify. Under the general policy still in effect, it does allow it. Stay tuned!http://corporate.walmart.com/ad-match-guarantee

Oh geez, I hope really hope WM actually will let you PM on BF. I enjoyed the option these last few years of getting everything I want/need at BB first then hopping right up the road to WM and PMing all the other stores on movies and games. I mean WM usually has the best deals to begin with but if Target had a particular movie I wanted it was nice to know I didn't actually have to go to Target to get it.

I am trying to get corporate to understand the potential confusion. Here is the interpretation from my local Walmart:

On Black Friday, you will be able to price-match the actual printed ad that you must have in your possession. The items must be purchased in the store(Walmart) during the sale hours that the competitors ad indicates. No adjustments for items bought at other stores will be honored, nor will gift cards be issued during the Black Friday/Thanksgiving day sale.

This sounds like business as usual, just that they do not want all the extra work of adjustments outside of the realm of their own cash registers.

Per Walmart's email to me ( 11/10)

- Walmart.com will not price match online.......

Also, Does anyone know if Kohls will price match online with online retailers- or should i ask WHICH online stores WILL price match other online stores for Black Friday etc.?

My WM has signs up all over store today that stated"ad match is not in affect on BF for doorbusters from other stores.Regular sale stuff yes.Even asked my manager and he said no.WM will not ad match door buster ads.

There is a lot of confusion going on about this, even with store managers and other associates. Part of what you were told is absolutely true. Due to the nature of how Walmart handles doorbusters, a lot of the items will never match anyway, due to model, brand, etc. Many others around the web are being told very different things. There are two policies online. The one causing the most confusion is the Christmas ad match. What most of us usually expect and have become accustomed to is the smaller items, such as games and movies. If they end up taking that away, they will definitely be getting the scrooge award this year. Manager discretion will be the key to your effort at Walmart. My store said they would do it, so we shall see.

You are absolutely correct. Walmart does not price-match any online items, especially with their own online component.

that sign clearly talks about the Christmas Ad Match, it does not talk about the normal PM policy

Oh i see what yall are talkin about.Im guessing BF ads would be the ones that are for Thursday & Friday with doorbuster sales.Lets say ad says from 8-11am only. Those are the ones WM wont price match. If it says all day Thursday & Friday they will match. But again as someone above mentioned, most stores have BF sku numbers and they wont match up.I guess we all just wait and see.Maybe someone somewhere will find a true descirptive statment online about it and will post it.

Their regular price matching policy is you come in to the store with competitor ad in hand to buy a product and they will adjust the price right there at the register.  Most stores WILL do this on black Friday with competitors ads. Generally that has been up to individual store managers so if your store has done it in the past, chances are they will do it again this year.

The Christmas Ad Match policy is you buy something at Walmart now, and find it on sale at Target next week. You can take your receipt and the Target ad in, and they will give you the difference on a WM gift card.  They will NOT do this for Black Friday ads. So, if you buy a new xbox today at Walmart, and Target runs it in their ad next week for $20 less, you could have it price matched. If Target runs it $20 less in their BF ad, you can not have it price matched.

Does that help at all?

Does Target PM on BF? Like if I have the printed ad from a store who has a sale happening at 9pm and I'm in Target instead at 9pm can I get that item at that price? Just covering my bases.

no they dont their policy has a BF exclusion

BUT they do have their own PA policy, which allows you to buy the item beforehand from them and then come back during the sale and get your adjustment. WARNING take a copy of the policy with you as some stores have been known to not allow it

For larger items, like televisions, it is hard to get a match. Their policy is quite clear on matching items exactly. Black Friday price matching at Walmart has always tended to be time sensitive. If the ad says Target's sale on Blurays that you are matching is going from that 8-11 AM time frame(example, not real time) and you are standing there ready to price match at 11:30 AM and they notice the time, you are out of luck. There have been situations where a person has lined up and has let the CSM know it is a time sensitive match. That person will be allowed the match in most cases where time has elapsed while waiting in line, so long as a CSM knows you are waiting on them to check you out.

Exactly! Purchases must be bought and matched at the register with the ad in hand at the time specified in the competitor's ad!! Talk to your local CSM to make sure they have it right, some obviously don't know their own policy yet. Remember that some associates are seasonal.
