queenofshopping Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 So I was just down on the porch, in the freezing cold, so desperate to finish putting up my lights before christmas comes that i was in my hoodie, pj pants, & slippers, & while trying to not staple-gun myself, i bent over in a funny way & rrrrrrrip, there goes the area of my pjs so, if anyone wants to share some story about the time they fell off a ladder or something, do it here & let us share your pain
Gumball Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Not sure if this qualifies, but last year I bought 3 of those multicolored spiral trees to put out in the front yard. I decided to use the spike that went in the ground instead of the base that just sat there. (That was my first mistake) I had my 5 yr. old out there with me "helping" (second mistake) so I was having a little trouble focusing on reading the instructions and keeping her out of the box at the same time. Anyway, I shoved the stake & pole down in the dirt and didn't realize how deep I had it in there. Got the tree put up and all was well until after Christmas when I went to take the tree down & pull the pole & stake out of the ground.. I didn't even notice that the stake part hadn't come out with the rest of it - it was still in the dirt in the yard and I couldn't find it out there anywhere! I still don't know where it is, even the guy that mowed my yard this past summer never saw it. I'll have to take a metal detector out there to look for it.
Marcster Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 This isn't really a horror story, kinda funny actually... My in-laws had two of those light-up reindeer in their lawn. They look kinda like this: http://www.echristmas.com.au/images/group/Rein03.gif Well, we were visiting them a couple of years ago and we all went out for the day, and while we were gone, some prankster put the reindeer in a comprimising position. Now, my in-laws are very conservative... Imagine my surprise when the next time we went up to visit them and they had puchased and set up a little baby reindeer!
