Are we talking upgrade version of full version. Keep in mind you want to make sure that that CD is no just an OEM version w/o a license key.

 

If you have any old copies of windows you can use the upgrade version but still do a full install. It will accept any Windows cd from Win98 and up. All you need to do is put it in the drive for a moment during the install.

Here's a question... can you "upgrade" from XP Home to XP Pro? I seem to recall reading somewhere that you can't, and I was rather annoyed.
