sr6974
Basically, I bought a reversible fleece jacket at Target last week for $16.99 that is going on sale for $7.99 tomorrow. My son tore off the tag from my jacket so it no longer returnable. I do have the receipt though. Can I take the receipt to Target and ask for a refund on the difference (I can get 2 jackets now for the price of 1 that I paid).
ramona1992
I have no answer for you, but can you tell me how you know what's on sale tomorrow? I looked on the Target website, but couldn't find a circular.
Guest DigDoug
Target will do price adjustments if an item they sold you goes on sale (clearance is a different story). They do not price match other retailers though.
Guest cantweshare
You sure can. I bought the Legos Millenium Falcon last week for about $100 knowing it was on sale for half that on BF. Today, I walked in, handed the lady the receipt and said I needed a price adjustment on the Legos. Thirty seconds later she said "Wow, that's some price adjustment" and I chuckled and walked away. Thanks gottadeal.com; I'd never have done it without you!

sr6974
Thanks all! I will go in tomorrow for the price adjustment (and buy a second one for the same price)! As for how I know what is on sale tomorrow, I got the ads in today's newspaper (in the San Jose, CA area).
Guest cantweshare
Yep,. as long as its within the 90 days that your reciept is valid for. I have done it before as well!I thought they would only adjust the price within the week you bought the item or the following week if it went on sale. I was careful to get it just one week ahead of time.
Guest all2tired
It depends on the store. TRU has to be within 14 days, Target I guess has a longer time frame.
AndreaInNC
My Target would NOT price match their 2 day sale ad and were actually quite rude about it .. this morning I called their 800 number to complain and they are sending me a $10.00 gift card for my trouble. Edited to add: Target 800 number customer service told me it was 90 days to price adjust as long as it was not a "special purchase" or clearance item. So I went and bought another one of the same item off the shelf and returned it with the original receipt. Of course, then my wife went and bought it again at the sale price, because she did not realize what I had done, so now I have to return it again.. grrr.... Really stupid on Target's part - for a $1 savings.
