tnlbohrer
I looked at them last month and they were $75 on sale! Quantities were limited but I got mine!
yuyi64
Are you sure it was the same drill? The Home Depot ad I saw said the regular price on the drill was $39.99, not $75.00.
jamieva
The ad in the paper said regular price was $69.99, but on homedepot.com it shows $99.99 Talked to a friend of mine tonight that has that drill and flashlight and he said that is a steal. He said the drill is very good quality.
mugs
Sears had the same deal on their 18V drill. But I like how Ryobi has a TON of different tools you can buy separately. They're not "professional-grade" tools (neither are Craftsman power tools really), but they're great for a homeowner.
blackfridayadd
havent opened mine up yet, the wife got it for me & its in her mother's van, but she said the 1 she got me also came with a flashlight for the same 29.95 price. also picked up the 12 gal wet / dry vac which is a great deal for 24.95, these same capacity & features vacs were at Lowes today for 69.
donny2001
I mentioned in a different thread about this drill. I work for a True Value store, and we have a line of Master Mechanic 18v Power tools. I was going to buy our drill for $39.99, but then you had to buy the batter seprate ($19.99), and the charger seprate ($24.99), but then alll the Master Mechanic Tools were compatible with these batteries. BUT..... When I picked stuff up for my dad at HD, I ran back later and picked up a drill for me. I love it its great, but now I have nothing to drill yet . O well Ill destroy something and see. I love the 2 levels the drill has on the top and the back! Also the 24 variable speeds! ~insert Tim Allan grunts here~ DON
Ebayordeath
Home Depot in my town had quite a few of each of their big items but still ran out around 10, so they just started giving away the store....... They got an email from corp that instructed them to do so. They took their larger and more powerful shop vacs and match the price of the one they had in the ad. So you could get a $100 Ridgid shop vac for $25. They took the Ryobi drill/flashlight set w/2 batteries and match the sale price for drill alone and when those were all gone they announced that if you purchased any cordless drill over $69 you would get an instant $40 off at the register. People were buying them like crazy. That is the way bf should be. Home Depot did good this year and they are going to continue this kind of stuff all weekend. I am just happy I don't have to work.... mugs
Also the 24 variable speeds! I'm not familiar with that particular drill, but what I think you're referring to is torque, not speed. It's so you don't strip screws. Torque is controlled by a dial near the chuck, speed is controlled by the trigger (and sometimes a switch to change from high/low speed to give you more control). :)
jamieva
Yeah it does come with a flashlight, although I don't remember the BF ad showing the flashlight. And as someone else mentioned you can by other Ryobi 18 volt tools to use with the same battery like a reciprocating saw, etc
