Will Circuit City or Best Buy have more Lines? Wondering What Im Up Against

Thankfully I don't have to go to Best Buy this year. I do, however, need to go to Circuit City for the $6.99 DVD + R discs (no rebate). Thats it, as I got my target GameBoy Sp bundle today for the friday price. I now can go there first then head to Walmart

As this is my first BF, the senior BF shoppers hopefully can help me. You've seen both ads. Which is better and which will be busier? I want to get my discs and get out of there to Walmart. Should I be getting in line by 1am (hate to do that just for DVD + R discs) but I do want in and out quickly to get my other stuff at stores. Hate to be 20+ in line getting there by 2 or 3am. Or do you think I have a chance that the discs would be available online? Just want to plan ahead. Have no experience going to any store let alone a popular electronics store. Thanks for any help.

i wouldnt wait in line for just those discs, should be plenty to go around... also staples has 2.99 after rebate 50 packs, and best buy has 2.99 after rebate 75 pack with 25 cd-rs, something to consider. I am however going to circuit city first getting several high demand items and getting there around 11 pm thanksgiving night.

I would guess you can just show up whenever for the discs in the morning some time. or go around 5 when it opens.

I definately don't want to go near BB. LOL. Too many horror stories. I don't have a Staples. nearest one is in akron, about 30-40 minutes away. I like the fact a CC there is no rebate. Just buy at that price and not worry about waiting to get refunded. Wonder how many will be available. I just want to be one of the first so I can hurry and checkout and race to Walmart

I've heard of that before. The checkout lines. As their ad is great for electronic items and big ticket items, I don't want to go near that place. People will probably be there at midnight. I just don't have any experience on BF and wasn't sure what time to be at CC for my item I need. I don't mind waiting in the cold if I can run in, get the discs, and get out quickly

Nexxtech I believe. Off brand, but I know a few people who use them and has had no problems. I bought the CompUSA brand ones last year online and they are great too. No problems, just not on sale this year

I want the disks too, but think about this -- you can normally get disks 25 to 40 cents each -- this is 14 cents each -- are you REALLY willing to wait 3 hours in the cold to save 10 - 20 cents per disk??? If I can hit CC at 6 am after WM, and the disks are still there, I'll pick up a few packs, but I certainly wouldn't camp out for disks.

So you think if I hurry at Walmart and get out of there by 5:30-6am, I would have a chance at getting the discs? I do need to get the wild west dolls for $9 and some other items

Just checked my email and I got a 10% off anything in store coupon or online from Circuit City. Expiration isn't until December. So I will definately try to get these discs there. The coupon gave me an instore code and an online coupon code. Just printed it out to use
