StickyKeys Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I live in Nebraska (Lincoln) and just got confirmed via Michelle that Walmart will be price matching on BF. Preferrably they'd like you to have the ad in hand. Use this thread to list your general location and what stores are allowing you to price match, and a manager's name would be a nice addition!
taintedmelodies Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Here in Greensboro & Durham NC, the Target stores are not pricematching according to Stephanie, the manager. The local Walmarts are willing to price match if the other store is in direct competition with them according to David of the Hillsborough store.
Pliablemoose Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I wonder if WM will be matching the after rebate prices?
caseyslilangel Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 it was on the news here this a..m that walmart WILL price match any ad I do believe
Miranda1313 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Wal Mart in Woodburn will be price matching and I plan to take full advantage of that! Miranda
joann Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Walmart in Lewis Center, Ohio is price matching on exact item w/ad.
erh12275 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I wonder if WM will be matching the after rebate prices?Well if you can get your store to do it then good...but it clearly states(well not so clearly since I had to try and read it on their web site and my eyes hurt from the strain now) on their flyer that they will not honor any rebate offers, b1g1, or percent offs.
mghtymth27 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 my walmart (Rockford, IL) has never pm'd rebates.
StickyKeys Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 I'm trying to see if the Walmart here has the Toshiba notebook from Circuit City so I can price match it and put it on lay-a-way. That way I'll only have to make one trip!
CarpeDiem Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I called and spoke to a Manager who said they have to meet OR Beat any price on BF on same item!! I'm excited I've never pricematched before!
forcedtoregister Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 http://www.walmartstores.com/GlobalWMStoresWeb/navigate.do?catg=26&contId=5822 I don't know what "As always, no Wal-Mart prices are based on rebates" means?!
6ofus Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Any chance of getting an emachine for $149 at WM?
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Any chance of getting an emachine for $149 at WM?If they carried that model yes, but I don't think Walmart carries that model.
6ofus Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Wishful thinking... I think that model is exclusive to BB and BF. What about the Toshiba laptop? or does that have rebates?
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Wishful thinking... I think that model is exclusive to BB and BF. What about the Toshiba laptop? or does that have rebates? The Toshiba laptop @ BB does not have any rebates, it's $378 out the door. However the Toshiba laptop @ CC is better, it costs $449 out the door but it has DOUBLE the RAM, larger HD and TruBrite better LCD display. Not to mention CC's lines are shorter than BB, that's a huge plus.
6ofus Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I saw one somewhere for $199, or was I dreaming?
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I saw one somewhere for $199, or was I dreaming?CC has a laptop for $199 but read the fine print it requires 1 year AOL membership.
kmbrly Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Not to mention CC's lines are shorter than BB, that's a huge plus. That's what I'm counting on. I hope you're right.
pfourd Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I was wanting to get the laptop that Circuit City has for $199 but I keep seeing a lot of posts about AOL membership. I haven't got to see a hard copy of this ad yet and the one posted on the internet I cant see the fine print. Can someone explain what this means. I already have a broadband plan with AOL. Can someone maybe explain how this is gonna work? Thanks
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 That's what I'm counting on. I hope you're right.Unless Circuit City offers Care Bears for $2, Tide for $0.99 and Toshiba laptops for $199 out the door ... my statement will remain true

Can someone maybe explain how this is gonna work? ThanksIt is true AOL member is required, they are not rumors. There is a possibility that AOL's $14.95/mo plan qualifies for the $250 discount. So you walk out of CC paying $199 for the laptop and you pay $14.95/mo for AOL. Yes you have to continue your broadband, the AOL would just be an addon or "piggy bank" on top of your broadband. Or just never use the AOL, you don't have to.
StickyKeys Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 The thing that sucks for me is I have Time Warner so I could get AOL for free. However if I can get the $15 plan, it means I can basically get $250 for $180. Hopefully I'll get there in enough time. I'm going to Walmart to see if they carry the model I want.
