jakesmommy403 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Last year was the first time that my local Target did the TRU thing and made everyone wait in one gigantic roped-off line to get to the employee who directed you to a check out lane. They used to just have a few employees around the check out lanes to help move it along. I'm wondering if everyone's Target did this and if so does anyone know if they're doing it that way this year? It took so long last year we ended up putting our stuff down and leaving. If they're doing it again I might skip them and just move on.
tinkrbel Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 my target wasn't roped off but it was 1 lane and they had reps directing ppl to open register. I gave some lady a snotty look when she got in front of me but didn't cause a ruckus since I'm not prone to being nasty. She was in the wrong and got nasty when I pointed it out to her, I was in no hurry and she only had 1 item but there's no need to cut in front of ppl.
tyreejames Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 My Target did this and I hated it! There were products on the other side as well and you had to walk all the way around to get to them then walk back to the end of the line. I'm in and out of stores on BF but I found it to be a nuisance.
AndreaInNC Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Well last year my Target put most of their electronics behind the counter and had TWO registers open. The Kindle I wanted was behind the counter. They had $150 cameras out on the shelf, but the $85 Kindle I had to stand in line for almost an hour for. I was beyond livid!!!
jakesmommy403 Posted November 14, 2012 Author Posted November 14, 2012 Oh geez, I really hope they don't do that again this year and it was just an experiment. I need one thing from Target and don't feel like spending 2 hours getting to the cash register.
princess01 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 they've done this the last few years at my local targets. winding in and out of tons of isles. the line didn't move too slow, but it was still a pain.
gemini1567 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 They did it at my Target last year & it worked great. Much better then finding yourself in a slow line while the other registers may be moving. I was about 50 people back and stood in line for maybe 10 - 15 minutes.
