midnight555 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I heard that they have already announced their openings how true is that I wonder Edit: I'm closing this thread since the info was never confirmed. -Brad
pogiporkchop Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Target and BB I could believe but Walmart will make it earlier than that for their first round of deals.
angelbabymommy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 As far as Walmart, I agree with pp...I can't imagine them going back to midnight "opening" (even tho I wish they would), when last year they started earlier (disaster, imo)
bigjimslade Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I just checked the press sites for BB, T and WM and none of them have any posting about BF. BTS just started so I would not expect anything until after labor day to middle of Sept. Last year BB made the choice last minute to open at midnight.

I know for this year I'll be scoping them out for signs advising more of the same. It really worked out well for me last year buying most stuff online then hitting sears and macy's in mall early and then stopping by and waiting for that Walmart to open.
berry1014 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I am not crazy with the stores opening on Thanksgiving night but I can deal with the midnight openings. I may be in the minority here but I do prefer the 4 am openings better.

Jen198 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 In my State,we have the Blue Laws so my Walmart doesn't open as early as others. Last year Walmart opened at 4am and Target at 1am I believe.
howpomp Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I like the later times too, the 5AM openings were the best.
Brad Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The only place I could find it being reported for 2012 was from Examiner.comI don't know how much weight I'd put into that article. I believe almost anyone can submit articles for that site. I really doubt all those stores have announced plans so early.
Turtle Mommy Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I like the later times too, the 5AM openings were the best.ITA! My Walmart started their sales at midnight last year. It was a nightmare! I walked in and then walked out!

Jen198 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Is MA the only state with Blue Laws? I am just curious if this law affects anyone else?
cRabago Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I just wished they would all go back to the 4:30 openings so we could rest up from all the prepping, cooking and company from Thanksgiving!
midnight555 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 I agree I wish that it was later and not so early
Needs a deal Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Drink a 12 pack of mountain dew put on big boy/girl panties and enjoy a all nightier, or would u like to the lame bonehead who stayed home
tifflan83 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 It's much easier with stores opening at midnight. I worked for Best Buy for four years and I can honestly say its easier to get to work at 10pm than 2 am.
jesusluvu Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I can deal with the midnight openings. I don't want to do the 8pm thing anymore. Last year was a mess. There wa more fights and just kind of killed the right of passage that everyone should experience.
mamat2011 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I also remember and loved those 5am openings!
wf2afcop Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I wish they would do the early morning openings again, my DH and I would make a day of it. I don't like being out that late in Las Vegas--but I WILL do what I have to do! LOL
angelbabymommy Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I, too, wish it would go back to they way it used to be...I mean, I did (still do) go to Kmart on TG and pick up a few of their TG deals for the day.. I would go in the morning (pick up my paper while I was out, even tho I already knew what would be on sale thanks to GD lol) and come back and enjoy my whole TG day with my family, eating, chatting, laughing, looking thru the paper. I loved not having to get up until about 230, 3 am to head to the stores to shop. Now, it's just crazy!!!
Jen08 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I to wish they would go back to opening later. I wnt do the whole up all night this year. The last 2 years I've done and have gotten dog sick from nor getting any sleep. I guess I just can't hang and I'm only 31!!!
midnight555 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Yeah I agree I wish it was later not early I get so tired and sick
