Snatta
Do people camp out all night at Sears stores that are part of an inside Mall? My Sears store has 3 entrances from the outside, and 1 Mall entrance. If so, do they give tickets out in advance for certain items before the doors open? I was wondering how they would do that with 3 entrances. I figure I might have better luck going to Sears to get an HDTV than going to Best Buy. Most people will go to Best Buy for the electronic stuff, so there will probably be much more people competing for some of the same stuff. People that are going to Sears might be looking to get other stuff besides electronics. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
RossMAN
It varies depending on the location, some are very busy with 300+ people in line by 4AM where as others are dead. It would help if we knew the location of your local Sears (store name, city, state)?

MarkRaby
Last year, I was at Sears about an hour before it opened, at the entrance that was specifically and very noticeably designated as the entrance you had to go through to get the free $10 gift card. Well, of course, people who showed up at other entrances seconds before the store opened were able to run right up to the section they were handing out the gift cards, leaving almost all of us doing it the way they specifically asked for with nothing. I understand from others that this was not an isolated event. There also were no vouchers handed out for the big-ticket items. So it seems like Sears does not have a very organized set-up for the early arrivers. -Mark-
imjustagirl
Sears was CRAZY last year when they were giving out those GC! Our store has 3 outside enterances and 2 mall enterances, so we waited at the upstairs mall one. There was a nice orderly line and figured they would just give a GC as people walked through the door until they ran out. NOPE! They gave them out downstairs in the tool department. People were literally JUMPING off the escalator into the crowd of people trying to get GC. It was insane.
erh12275
For the people who did it last year...I have a ?. Hubby and I want the dvd/vcr. We are going to Walmart first and hoping to make it to Sears right at 6 when they open. We don't care to get the gift card. Will we have any trouble w/ the dvd/vcr? Or should I just get it at WM too and pay the extra $10. Gonna go check out last year 2 see what the consensus was then.
Princess7915
Our malls do not let you stay inside to camp out. How lucky would that be!? Nope, we shiver and shake untill 5a.m.
computerlady
We found a sign on an outside door that stated it was the door you needed to be at for the $10 gift card. People who entered Sears from inside the mall came to the clerk inside as she was opening for us and she turned them away for the gift card. Nope, we shiver and shake untill 5a.m.When we were inline in the mall there was actually a store in the mall that was already opened. I wanna say KBtoys? I think that's why the mall doors were open. leefamily23
The closest mall to me is the same. It's because K-B Toys and last year the Disney Store were open so early. So they were letting people in.
happyrat
In my Sears normally the eye glass entrance is open for before the store actually is. I think its used as an employee entrance. I have not tried on BF before, but on days they had big sales I just went in that door 5 min before the store opened to beat the crowd and no one noticed. Hope its open on BF too.
