  1. 1. How much money do you anticipate spending the entire week of Black Friday, online and in stores combined? $500 2. If you plan on shopping offline on Thanksgiving and/or Black Friday, how many different stores do you predict you'll shop at? 2 3. Do you anticipate shopping online more than last year, less than last year, or about the same as last year? MORE
  2. 1. Super Bowl is only a month and half away, the one with the most tv's is gonna have one hellva party! 2. OMG! Is that Joe Manganiello was handing out the $5 toasters? 3. Sheets, pillows and blankets? Geez Mom, you pulled me out of bed at 2 am to wait for that? I'm going back to sleep, wake me when we get home.
  3. We just got back from Walmart and they STILL have loads of BF stuff. I went for the Lexmark All in One since my hubby just order me a new computer tonight from Dell. They still had at 10 of them sitting there along with two of the LCD tv's a 20" and a bigger one that was $598. They took the $14 price off the sheets and all the towels were gone, but just about everything is still there stilling on pallets or just stacked in the middle of the main aisles. They had a whole shopping cart filled with those Impact SD cards. I just don't feel sorry for them, they've brought this on themselves with their lousy customer service.
  4. I'm so glad you are OK! This is a good wake-up call to all of the female shoppers on this board. Try to shop with a friend, have your keys ready and above all be aware of what's going on around you. We all tend to be distracted this time of year and that's just what creeps are hoping for.
  5. I walked into the electronics department at 9:50am and pricematched the Sandisk 1GB SD card from Staples BF 6 to 10am sale. Much nicer card than the no name brand they were offering for less than one dollar more than that one. Price went from $44.97 to $14.99.
  6. Same thing happened at Reading PA this morning. Target security people were out about 4:15 and they were asking each of us what we were looking for and then told each and everyone of us where we could find it once in the store. Tickets for Tickle Me Elmo were also handed out. The line jumpers started around 5 and at 5:30 when close to 100 of them lined up opposite of us, security blocked their way with shopping carts. At 5:45, about 100 more gathered right across from the entrance and that's when a load of Target security and I'm guessing employees came out the doors and formed a human wall completely blocking the line jumpers. The store manager then opened one side of the door and welcomed us in. Target's other employees were lined up to greet us, and as we entered the store we all just broke into applause for the way they handled the whole thing. As usual, there were employees EVERYWHERE smiling and helping in everyway they could. I do not have a Target where I live I travel to the Reading PA store each BF. This was the first time I made Target my first BF stop but from here on after it will ALWAYS be my first stop. I walked out of the store with everything I went in for with the exception of Christmas Morning Barbie! I have to say I have never been so impressed over a store's concern for both the safely and the satisfaction of their customers. Even a DVD price error at the register was fixed so quickly, no one behind me even knew there was a problem. Walmart needs to take lessons from Target! We stopped by there at 9:45 and not only was everything from there Early Bird sale still there, but you couldn't find anyone willing to help you.
  7. This was big news on all the major networks a few weeks ago. ALL Walmarts are doing away with layaway, they are pushing their credit card. They claim only "poor" people use layaway and it costs them too much to rent trailers to store it in.
  8. Word of Warning: If your Sears is in a mall, check for signs on the OUTSIDE entry doors, before going inside to wait. Our mall always posts one outside door as THE door for the gift cards. Every year we see people who were waiting inside the mall come running up before they open the outside doors and every year they are turned away for the card. Seems the inside gates are opened before the outside entries. If you are not in the right place you won't get the card. Cards are gone in just a matter of minutes here in PA.
  9. THANK YOU!!! Just got the 2 Kodak cameras I needed for a total of $193.53 with tax and shipping after the 10%. This was my biggest want for BF. Now I won't be a nervous wreck standing in line for the "small" stuff I want. Hopefully I will be able to pick up the accessory kits and the SD cards at the store. Thanks for letting us know they were available online!
  10. It's that bluetooth headset they are having for $15. I'd like one of these for use with my LG VX8300 phone. Is it any good? Thanks!
  11. I'm hoping the Kodak cameras are NOT a hot item. We got to Target 2 hours after they opened last year and my brother in law got the last 2 they had that day. I'm heading there 2 hours before they open so I can get one for me and one for my daughter.
  12. Mine came in the mail yesterday. What a waste of paper. I'm going to Target and Best Buy this year.
  13. We found a sign on an outside door that stated it was the door you needed to be at for the $10 gift card. People who entered Sears from inside the mall came to the clerk inside as she was opening for us and she turned them away for the gift card.
  14. It was worth it to us last year. We had a list of things that Sears had on sale during their earlybird sale. The gift cards were a bonus, we ended up getting a nice (as in it still works!) upright vaccum cleaner for $10 after using the cards. Hubby is a Shop foreman/mechanic and we got great Craftsman tools as gifts for his workers and a cute Toy Craftsman toolbox & tools for our little grandson.
