leefamily23 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Pretty much every year I go BF shopping at the crack of dawn w/ my sister. Then I'm usually home by early afternoon. I then usually venture back out in the evening w/ my husband. Usually we save most of our holiday spending money up for that weekend. We are they type that would spend it if we don't use it for what it's meant for. So, we try to do a lot of our shopping that day. Anyhow, does anyone else go for 2 rounds of shopping that day???
Princess7915 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Sort of....My mom and I are crack of dawn shoppers too..When we have to unload the cars we go to her house (she lives very close to everything) and relax for a little while, then head back out. My husband wouldn't be caught dead out there!!! He hates crowds, although this year he's making some noise about going too...we shall see. I doubt he moves when the alarm goes off!!
bethc24 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 My mom and I do the same thing. We are out from the crack of dawn until about Noon, then later on we start by having a nice dinner and going out shopping as late as we can!!! Boy, it sounds crazy when you type it all out!!!
sbhiggins Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Yeah! I love Round 2, so much more relaxed than Round 1. A few years ago we hit Walmart at the crack of dawn and my dad bought a (then) big tv which was a door buster on the spur of the moment. A later that afternoon we ended up back there for some reason and they still had a ton of them, still at the door buster price, so he bought another one for his girlfriend, lol.
Princess7915 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Now that's good shoppin' sbhiggins! More power to your dad!!!
starshine Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I am up and out early and then I usually go back to WM after I'm done with everything else. There always seems like there is something at WM I missed or I will try to PM something that was out at another store.
Steakgoddess Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I shop early and all day. Not this year, since I have to be home by 1 to travel to visit some family.
cami_reardon Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Yes. But this year I got an offer of OT from 3 pm - 8 pm and at that rate of pay, I might just have to forgo the afternoon/evening shopping to get the pay! :2roller:
Guest all2tired Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I never thought of it that way but yes I do. Then I collapse in bed and sleep until dinner time or later
mitchandalisha Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I will shop all day on Friday until I can't find anymore deals. Then I will come home eat and sleep. I will get up on Saturday morning and continue shopping. This is the power weekend!!!
MarkRaby Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I will shop all day on Friday until I can't find anymore deals. Then I will come home eat and sleep. I will get up on Saturday morning and continue shopping. This is the power weekend!!!Tack on Thanksgiving Day itself and you've got my usual BF weekend shopping routine. For a couple years, Sears had some deals that were only good after a certain time, so I would go back there later for those deals if they were any good. But usually, I only have one outing on Friday, but it's a several-hour outing. -Mark-
gisellerol Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I ONLY GO IN THE MORNING BY THE TIME I GET DONE WHICH IS AROUND 2-3 PM I AM EXHAUSTED AND DONT WANT TO GO OUT NO MORE.
Mommie2one Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I wont go back out. Once Im in, Im in. Probably will take a nap in the afternoon
disgal Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I live in a small town, so we drive an hour to shop...going home is not an option. We (me, my mom and my husband) usually hit the doorbusters we want (we split a couple of them with my aunt and cousins...for example I am at KB at 5am and get my stuff and whatever is on their list while they are at Kohl's and do the same for me) and then, after the doorbuster shopping, we meet up with my aunt and cousins for lunch. After that we head back out to finish up shopping. We usually go to the mall last as we don't really stop to do any "non-doorbuster" shopping when we are there earlier.
Tara3117 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I live right on the NH border, so we go out at the crack of dawn and get all that tax-free shopping. And, of course, all the major stores are centrally located because it's a border town. Then I go home and take a nap for Round 2. Who doesn't love a marathon!?!
saturnboy01 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Round 1: HELL Round!! Start time 4AM. End time: 12Noon intermission.....NAP then dinner time Start time: 1PM End time: 5PM Round 2: Tamed Round Start Time: 6PM End Time: 12midnight or later Round 2 is just to go back and browse the shelves look for misc items etc. You NEVER know what you will find and some people through stuff around. You would be surprised.
love2beurwifey Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Nope because we have to go so far away to shop
