Can you guys post your Fry's Electronic's BF experiences? I haven't really read that many in the current threads that we have, and I'm curious since this is my first BF. I'm nervous now. It's like, what should I expect?

I called up my local Fry's (SoCal :gd_phone: ) and they open around 6am, and they said the line begins around 3am. That is all I got so far about Fry's. Any help would be appreciated. ^^

Also, would you recommend buying the brand GQ for a laptop? That is the top priority on my shopping list this year.

we arrived last year at Fry's around 5:00am. The line was already around the building. We had gone for the 5.0meg Olympus digital camera. At 6:am they started letting people in. It was total chaos. They had no security and people just started rushing the door. No control whatsoever. I can tell you they let us in and then we went to the camera area. We were then put in 3 lines. One for the Olympus, one for the HP 2.0 meg for $49.00 and one for the digital camcorder they had for $149.00. What a mistake. We waited for awhile then my husband decided to leave the line while I waited. He noticed that at the back of the store the wharehouse doors were open and there were a couple of guys handing stuff out. He realized that one of the items was the camera we were wanting to buy. He grabbed one. This was no where near the line where they had us wait and the guy told him it was the last one. He called me on my cell phone to tell me he had the camera. I left the line not saying a word. People were getting impatient and no employees were anywhere. This was the most unorganized place I have ever been on after 4 years of BF shopping. We were happy to get what we wanted and they definately had great prices but it was completely full contact shopping! I was actually nervous being there. I would rather camp out all night at BB than go through that again.

Yes pretty much it is chaos. I went last year and arrived at 5am also and there were a few hundred people there. This is one of the smaller stores and when the doors opened, you can just imagine. I went to get the 25" tv and there were 3 lines of chaos but i got my tv thanks to customers telling employees people were cutting in line. The worst part was trying to figure out where the line to pay was. There was supposedly some employee standing at the end of the line with some balloons. It took 20 minutes to find him. This is of course after I had to have an employee pull my shopping cart from the front because i couldnt get it through the aisles. Luckily I did come away with everything I wanted and made a nice exit across the street to Staples. And of course I plan on going to Fry's again this time around too, lol.:cheesy:
