I have a mail lady that I really like, so I usually get her some nice chocolates. I pay my trash service $25 a month for one pick up a week--I don't get them anything.

Nope. My family members are lucky to get presents, LOL, with my budget...I can't do random neighborhood workers too.

You could give them some of your yummy cookies :-) I can't bake or I would go that route instead of the candy.

We buy little gifts for our childrens' bus driver cause he is always doing special things for the kids on the bus. Other than him we don't buy gifts for the mailperson or garbageperson.

We live in an apartment complex this year so no trash man. As far as the mailman..we have a different one every other day...and they SUCK. Loved my old mailman and gave him something but not these.

I used to get our mailman something--he was nice. But now we've moved and have a PO box so I don't guess I'll do that this year. Never got anything for the garbage man before.

My family has always given them a 1 lb box of Russell Stovers candy. We each end up buying a case of the stuff! It's kind of tradition now and costs a little more than I should spend on them, but they always appreciate it and they always make sure to stop by during the days following Christmas to say Thank you to me. (I live in a town of less than 1000 so we all know each other anyhow.)

The maintenance men (3) are very good here and my property is backed up on two sides by the City park, so they help us maintain our bushes and they even mow the portion of our yard that is outside the fence each time they mow. It's really nice. Plus, they plow snow in the park so they always make sure to drop the blade and "turn around" in our driveway. Great guys!!
