Klownicle Posted November 12, 2005 Share Posted November 12, 2005 I have read in the wal-mart at the super centers are going to be open on thanks giving and hence there 24 hours. What does this do to black friday? Does the store close for a couple hours later that night then reopen at 5am? Or would it be best to contact my local supercenter directly and find out? Then we will watch all doors (layaway, garden center, and others) then relay by walkie talkies to the rest of our group what is coming out and which door. Then you just wait til the plastic comes off, jump in, and get what you can get!!!lol I hope that helps. But, as previously posted, every WM seems to be different. I like this cause then I can go there & scope out where the early bird stuff is & all I have to do is wait for 5am to come & then run to get what I want. I was told that at 4 a.m. they will had out a flyer telling where everything is located. They will also hand out tickets for the big ticket / most desired items at that time. I was also told that TV'S may well be in the grocery department. So no telling where the Computers will be. I plan to go about 2 a.m. walk around & see where the merchandise I want is located. But, as previously posted, every WM seems to be different.I am hoping to get to Walmart get the stuff I need to PM and put it in my cart and then get anything that may be out already and get that then go stand by the items I want...but the best laid plans don't usually work out for me...and when I last spoke to them they didn't know for sure if they would be open 24 hrs or closing at 8 again like last year...so gonna wait and see the day before Thanksgiving.
