mia girl Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I do alot of online shopping but will NEVER order from target again. Ordered some pillow pets and a sheet set on black friday. the shipping label was created for ups but the items never reached ups. so they never left the target warehouse. After getting the run around for days, including being tranferred to dpts that were closed, being hung up on etc.. they finally tell me that they will reship the items to me (as a one time courtesy!! _ can you believe that - as if they are doing me a favor to fix their screw up). keep in mind that the entire time i was calling back they told me that they would not run out of the items, which was my concern. well they did. the reorder was going to be only for the pillow pet. they told me i could buy the sheets in store (but for 2x the price and they could not adjust). Come to find out that the rep did not reship - she canceled my order when i was adamant that i wanted my items. she actually said she reshipped andthat i would receive the tems in 3-5 days. she cx my order, wrote no notes nothing. so on top of outright lying to me, she issued a refund to the original cc and i had told her that this was not mine and that i had already paid my friend for the stuff i bought on her cc so i could not get money back. i asked if they could issue refund to a gift card and then she came up with the idea of reshipping. now the second order - which they refused to ship overnight is lost again. and they are giving me the run around. on top of that i complained so much cause price is now doubled, that they were going to match the original price i paid. said that they would give me a credit which they did not. I had to call back AGAIN to get this done. 7 calls - 4 hours later - i have no items!!!! at least when kohls cx part of your order, they tell you to buy the item in store or online and they will refund you the difference between what you were suppose to pay when u ordered it and what you actually paid. don't waste ur time with target.. if the mess us they will not fix the problem just give you more headaches. if i had not been able to order online i would just have gone to the store to get the sale price. but obvioulsy if i can get the same price online with free shipping, why wouldn't i. BUT DON'T - YOU ARE BETTER OFF PAYING MORE AT LEAST YOU WON'T HAVE A HEADACHE AND YOU WOULD ACTUALLY GET YOUR STUFF so now, one of the only things i was getting my little one is missing and I can't find it at the stores!!
momof3luvs1 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I would call corporate IMMEDIATELY! Hopefully they can do something...
peppysfireball Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 My last order from them said it shipped on December 2. On December 12 I called for the 3rd time and was told it was still in their fulfillment center. They said when you get a shipping email it doesn't always mean it has shipped. It just means they sent the billing info to ups. The tracking number they sent me said it was delivered in October. I finally received it on the 14th.
racerfan Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I just had the same problem. I ordered a Monkey pillow pet along with a puppy one for my DD13. I got the Puppy, and got shipping information on the Monkey ut never received it. Just called he tells me it was delivered!!! I asked him where? Then he said that it was not delivered and now was out of stock. Supposedly he credited me my money back. Waiting to see if that happens. I plan on calling Corporate. I also ordered from them on Friday and the money has been taken out of my Paypal account, but I still have not received an order confirmation!!
mia girl Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 does anyone have a number for corporate or is it better to email them?
tehlilone Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Wow I have been hearing nothing but negative things about target.com this holiday season. I wonder what's going on with them. I don't think they were this bad in the past or did I just not see it?

tinkrbel Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 They have no clue about their orders, last year they believed they hadn't mailed my package since they had no info and after I called several times and demanded a manager they reshipped the order except they got amounts of each wrong. I eventually received another package with correct order but since they wouldn't let me return incorrectly packaged order I kept it all and they lost out. Here you go: Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Gregg Steinhafel Target Corporation Contacts Main Number (612) 304-6073 Sales Information Line (612) 761-6500 Media Relations (612) 696-3400 1000 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, MN 55403 Phone: 612-304-6073 Fax: 612-696-5400
angleyez423 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Target and Target.com are actually 2 different stores. So the B&M corporate probably can't help you, but I'm sure they'll listen since they get the bad rap. Maybe they will offer you something for instore. I have zero problem with B&M Target, but Target.com put me through hell this year too (though not as bad as you).
studentnurse30 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 After reading this thread I am really glad the 2 orders I placed got to me with no problems. Sorry for those who had issues.
Buckeye Shopper Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I didn't have any issues with my orders this year but on a side note I think their website is a nightmare. It takes forever to load, and to navigate.

savvybuys Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Their site was run by Amazon until this year. This was their first holiday season on their own. Guess they weren't ready...Yep you can say that again. Target dot com deleted my ENTIRE baby registry right after their new site launch and everyone purchased 2 of everything. It was a mess. Their CS is terrible and rude too. So unlike Target really.
noehlp Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 mia girl - so have you found/bought some pillow pets for your little one? I know my local CVS store had PLENTY today! And I'm sorry Target was such a PITA for you.
racerfan Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Just got off phone with wonderful Target (NOT). They sent me an egift card for them cancelling my order of the Pillow Pets Monkey. They claim they cannot refund money back to Paypal. I told them if it was my fault then I understand that,m but they messed up so why do I have to spend more money there. I also checked on my order from last Friday for the Axe gift sets. They claim it has been shipped but yet on UPS' site there is no # assigned. Guy tried to tell me that UPS had not updated their website. Told them that was garbage since UPS is on top of their stuff unlike Target. I am waiting for that to be cancelled too. I am calling corporate right now. On top of everything I cannot find a Monkey Pillow Pet anywhere:mad: Just got off the phone with Corporate and they say they cannot do anything. Whatever the Target.Com said is correct they cannot resolve the problem. I will NEVER be shopping at Target again. When you contact guest relations you are sent right back to Target. I spoke to someone on the main website and he claimed "he was in guest relations" and what target.com said they can do nothing about. I don't know where to go from here. I am so mad:mad::mad: Edited December 20, 2011 by racerfan

All you have to do is click refund and confirm. It is beyond easy to give a buyer a refund through Paypal. Contact Paypal and see what they can tell you. They might be able to collect your money back themselves. You may have to file a dispute, though. I had to do that last year with a purchase I made to a comic book/toy store and Paypal made them refund my money back.

AndreaInNC Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 oh did they tell you that you have to use the e-gift card at Target.com? Cause you do.
racerfan Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 oh did they tell you that you have to use the e-gift card at Target.com? Cause you do.egift card says can be used online or instore.
AndreaInNC Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 then they must have changed their egift card program. It took me 2 year to use my egift card cause I refused to pay shipping. this was when they were still operated by Amazon - so it must have changed.
patcal1 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Yes- I totally agree---- takes website forever to load- many times - no prices listed- and when you order they cant understand 1/2 of what you are saying--- and when you do ask for supervisor- have to explain all again-- they usually just repeat same thing over and OVER again. I will not order from them again either.....WORST online ordering help ever!! Then to top it off- at the local Sandusky Ohio store---One check-out person will say- can price match at register- other will say- cant- changes daily. I spoke to someone in Customer relations (Mpls.) and they said they would bring this all up at weekly meetings. Doesnt do me any good now....I will just go to Walmart- Target lost over 400.00 of my business this holiday season. Maybe- Just Maybe- if we all complain- someone will do something!!!!!!!!!! Now- I'm done venting!
peppysfireball Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I am totally surprised. My axe shower gift set arrived today. Wasn't even estimated to arrive for 2 more days. SUre wasn't like the first order that took 2 weeks.

You have to do it in a certain time frame though, so better check . It takes a while, they have to give the seller time to respond before they make a decision.

What target did was break my payment down so when I tr to put in the transaction # its not for the correct amount only a portion of the payment. I asked Paypal what am I supposed to do. I will NEVER shop with them again and I spend quite a lot there. They just lost my business.

It takes a while, they have to give the seller time to respond before they make a decision.Yes, I too have received refunds and given them via Paypal. It is very easy. The seller has 7 days (if it hasn't changed) I do believe to respond or prove that they have shipped your item once you file a dispute, or you can expedite your claim furthur. It didn't take me long at all to resolve the problem I had with the toystore last year once a dispute was filed. Racerfan, just because Target.com says the situation has been settled, that does not mean that you are satisfied. Paypal is set up to protect the consumer. I do feel as though they will do something about this, because you will not be receiving the item you ordered. If I were you I would go ahead and file the dispute now, too. I think you have to do that within 45 days. Make sure they understand that you are not satisfied with the solution that Target.com is giving you. Please keep us informed on what happens. Edit: Also, don't let them tell you that they cannot give you a partial refund for the item that is out of stock. A seller can refund you any amount they need too. Edited December 23, 2011 by Kim3498
nef Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 To use the target e card you have to open an acct on target.com and register the e-card using the card number. The store will not be able to use the e-card unless you do that first. Then the store can scan it from you a smart phone if you have one.
amood06 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 So I am in the same situation as others, they damaged some gift sets that I ordered during shipping so they shipped back to themselves and since I paid with paypal they sent me an e-gift card. I was pissed for my inconvenience you should send an e-gift card on top of my refund. What am I going to do with an e-gift card your shipping is outrageous and the process to convert the e-gift card to something you can use in stores is ridiculous. So I am on the phone with paypal to open up a dispute. I will not be shopping with Target.com anymore they're right there with Best Buy with the horrible customer service.
