In my quest to clear out some clutter before my extended family arrives to celebrate Christmas at our home...I am looking for any deals on plastic totes that I can use to store out of season kids clothes waiting for next summer's yard sale; and items that I don't toss and will need a more extensive sort before tossing or donating or keeping.

I know that there is usually more of a market after Jan 1 when everyone puts "Get Organized!" on their goals list for the new year, but I wondered if you had seen any early sales or offers that I could take advantage of. Thanks!

PS: I know that the best thing to do would be to make a quick decision on these things and move on, but I really have limited time and need to focus on getting more space available in the very short time left before Friday.

There seems to be a few on sale at Kmart at the moment. I highly suggest you stay away from the Lowe's ones that have 1/2 flap lids regardless of how cheap they go.

The last decent ones I got were from Publix on a B1G1F sale but that was a while ago and I think they only do that sale once, maybe 2, a year

Thanks for the kmart heads up. I've been looking for something to put rolls of wrapping paper in and decided to get a tree bag to use for that. I have an oval stand up wrapping paper storage holder but all of my wrapping paper doesn't fit in there.

LOL...I think we have 2 of those and could probably use another 8 at least :P It's just easier/cheaper to store bday stuff/general in one and some xmas in the other with extra's standing in tall boxes stored in closet.

Have you ever used tall plastic trash cans to hold wrapping paper? They hold a lot and work quite well!

Costco usually has good storage containers at good prices.

Great advice. Wish our local Kmart had re-opened for the holidays! They had to close after Hurricane Irene due to flooding. I think that I might have seen red/green totes at Walmart for $5 and my last few were ones from Home Depot, so I can check there as well. Last stop will be BJ's to see what they might have on hand. Wish me luck! Have been tossing lots while kids are at school.
