bfaddict1977
that people buy hot items not for themselves or family but so they can turn around and resell them for 3 or more times the price. My 2 year old LOVES mickey and all I want is to be able to find a deluxe mickey mouse clubhouse playset for him. They are sold out everywhere. I refuse to pay $150-$200 though when they are $50 in store if they were in stock. I find it terrible how people pray on others around christmas and take advantage. I know the shake it up dolls are a hot item and htf too. Thanks to a tip on this board I was able to pre order them the first day and got them. I was at tru a few weeks ago and saw them but I didn't buy them to resell. I figured someone else who REALLY wanted them would hopefully come along and it would make their loved one's christmas to find them. They had both dolls and the shake it up hand bag. I already had all these. I wish people didn't prey upon other's desperateness. I am hoping mickey's clubhouse will be in after the holiday and ds and I will find it at the disney store. Thanks for listening to me vent;)
christina5704
I know the feeling, remember the HUGE ZhuZhu pet thing... I had to go through that with my child at that time and what they were going for was INSANE! I did manage to get some off ebay that were not so over-priced and I was at our local wal-mart everyday that a truck came in to see if I could get him a whole set. I bet he played with those darn things maybe 6 times and that was it. I was a member on here when that was going on but couldn't remember my password and had changed email addresses so I just created a new account this year. I did manage to get a few repeats hamsters that I did sell to a few other members on here and what I couldn't find I bought from someone else on here all at retail price. SuggaD
I wouldn't do it, but that is the society we live in where such actions are acceptable.
Scanner420
I was told by my local TRU that they get new truckloads daily through the Holidays and they'll hold something for up to an hour if you call when the store opens. (Just food for thought on that Mickey Item.)
Buckeye Shopper
I know it's not ideal, but I have told my daughter that I won't pay the inflated price for an item but I will get it for her when it becomes more widely available. She's almost 10, so she understands. I know for younger kids it's not an option. It helps that my dd's bday is in January so alot of the htf items are available then.
