Might have forgotten something but I start buying supplies in November.

Buckeye Shopper Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Cherry butter cookies? Can I have that recipe?Cherry Butter Cookies 2 C. Butter, softened2 t. Vanilla Extract2 C. Powdered Sugar1/4 t. Salt4 1/2 C. Sifted All Purpose Flour1/2-1 C. Chopped Marachino Cherries1/2 C. Chopped Walnuts Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth. Mix in salt, then stir in flour by hand until dough is stiff. Incorporate cherries and walnuts into dough, kneading like bread on powdered sugar surface. Roll dough into ping pong size balls, and place on cookie sheet. press down balls with a fork making a criss cross pattern. Bake 15-17 minutes or until edges start to brown. hockeyfanamo Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Not a cookie but a beverage tradition in my family. Hot Dr Pepper with lemon. Heat Dr Pepper in a saucepan on the stove with thin sliced rounds of lemon. I normally let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Ladle out into a mug with a lemon round on top and enjoy! JollyGG Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) My husband is allergic to wheat so cookies have been problematic the last couple of years. But I'm giving it a go with a few recipes this year. We are making: peanut butter cookies with chocolate stars chocolate chip cookies (out of a mix I like) sugar cookies if I can get the recipe from a friend spritz cookies brownie cookies also making chex mix and puppy chow with chex cereal will probably make a small batch of divinity or caramels Edited December 21, 2011 by JollyGG
