Rockfordmom Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It came in the guitar box, not a Best Buy Box, has the full colored picture of the guitar on the box, and the driver just left it in my garage. Doesn't Best Buy know that people buy Christmas presents on Black Friday? If it would have come 2 hours later, or if I didn't notice it in my garage as I was leaving my son would have seen the box and seen his Christmas present! I also ordered something for my husband, it is smaller, but I'm worried that it won't be in a Best Buy box either...
mom2monkiesx3 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I had the same thing happen to me with a guitar from Amazon before. I know exactly how you feel. I am glad your DS did not see it and I hope your husbands is properly consealed.
Kibit13 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I've had this happen with a few things, from a few different retailers. It's so frustrating!
AndreaInNC Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Yep - Walmart did the same thing with the BluRay player I ordered, they just shipped the box. And I got the same guitar you did - and it came the same way. Thankfully, the recipient wasn't home when it got delivered.
Rockfordmom Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 I just got shipping confirmation for my other order, keeping my fingers crossed that it's packaged a little better.
AndreaInNC Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I have to return the guitar because DD17's dad bought her one way better than the one I got her. I know it was a package where the lessons were free. Well, the email that came with the lessons says they are nonrefundable. if I go to return the guitar - will I be charged for the lessons that I didn't originally pay for? I won't be using the lessons - but I just don't want to have to come up with money when I return the guitar.
Rockfordmom Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 the nearest place here for the lessons is 1 1/2 hours away, so I don't think we'll be doing the lessons. the retail value of the lessons was more than the price of the guitar so I don't think they can charge you for the lessons
AndreaInNC Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Well guitar got returned and it was returned for the value I paid for the guitar. I tried to return the lessons and they looked at me like I'd grown another head. But there were no lessons anywhere near me either - or they were all full.
sweetdiggity Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I hate when retailers do that!! Had that happen with a Kitchenaid mixer once! Hopefully your next order comes packaged better!
