Higher-end Canon lenses

Hi Guys,

Anyone know of good deals on Canon lenses? I'm thinking about upgrading to some L glass or maybe a good third-party maker like a Tokina 11-16. I know these don't go on sale much but I thought I'd reach out!

Canon L series don't really go on clearance. Sometime you can get a nice rebate if you purchase it with a printer or camera body, but I've not seen a steep price-cut for a holiday.

 

I've found a lot of great deals on used equipment in the past, though. My 70-200 f/4L was used when I got it and you wouldn't be able to tell if it hadn't come in a plain white box.

My son has a Canon Rebel he bought this summer, and I was hoping to get him a telephoto zoom lens (think that's what it's called) for Christmas but they cost about $300. Definitely needing to find a deal on one.

It's hard to find deals on lenses. You can try to find them used, otherwise the price doesn't fluctuate that much.

My local camera store had a flyer over the weekend with had a bunch of lenses that are being offer with a rebate now. I'd check the Canon site to see if anything is going on.
