mcmahonfan Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 does anyone know if you can use Napster with that one??? I know you can use Napster with a Dell DJ. I am thinking of getting an MP3 player and not sure what to get. I have been looking at Dell DJ Ditty but if I this Phillips one at Wal_Mart would work with Napster I might go that route.
mrsbmb Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I looked up on google the product# from the ad and got this great site on the exact player they have. it will probably tell you under the tutorial section.kathyphilips mp3 player link look to the left for the tutorial link on the site. its nice turn your speakers on for it.
mcmahonfan Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 sorry but I think that is the wrong MP3 player the number is wrong. I think this is the right one. http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/catalog/catalog.jsp?fhquery=fh_secondid%3Dhdd077_17_us_consumer%26fh_view%3Ddetail%26fh_location%3D%2F%2Fconsumer%2Fen_US%2Fcategories%3Ccatalog_us_consumer%2Fcategories%3C%7Bportable_entertainment_gr_us_consumer%7D&productId=HDD077_17_US_CONSUMER&activeCategory=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR_US_CONSUMER&fredhopperpage=detail.jsp&language=en&country=US&catalogType=CONSUMER&proxybuster=OMU4FIA5Q3ADNJ0RMRESHP3HKFSEKI5P
mrsbmb Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 i suppose you could be right the #s were not very clear. but the picture shown in the ad matches the picture of the #'s i googled. the picture on the one you prvided doesnt match the ad picture. I guess we will have to wait and see. i'll have to read up on the one you posted to make sure its what i want still just in case it is the one. kathy
mcmahonfan Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 they both look like good ones. the one says it can fit behind a credit card sounds like it is as thin as Ipods nano. I am thinking of going for the one at wal-mart instead of the dell. I think a person will be saving about $50-60 on it on that day.
mrsbmb Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 also the one you posted says it hold 1000 songs. the ad says 500 songs . im confused now as to which one it is.. i guess do the homework on both just in case. kathy
mcmahonfan Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 yep the ad does say it holds up to 500 songs. if you go to the pdf that yours has it also says 1,000 songs. here is the only Philips MP3 player that is available right now on walmart.comhttp://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3910156#Item+Description this one also says 1,000 songs. hmmm interesting but the thing is the one you found does match the picture in the ad see the number they have listed in the wal-mart list is different then the one in the wal-mart ad if you have downloaded the ad.
krstee Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 This thread is interesting. Thanks for doing the research. I am interested in this MP3 player. Hopefully it's a good one. :)
TheDude Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Check out this thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=17076&highlight=mp3 The reviews are not good on the phillips player.
rockingdude Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 The Cnet review is for the HDD060, not the HDD082, which is what the ad says, and it may or may not be a better MP3 player(although a newer model is usually better).
copados1993 Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 My husband bought one of the Ipods and just loves his! I don't know if anyone will have these on sale for Black Friday, but I HIGHLY recomend this one! We did alot of shopping around and research and this one seemed to have the best reviews overall.
erh12275 Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 im confused now for sure...Me 2..but this is what hubby wants...lol.
disneytati Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Do you guys know if this MP3 player has a voice recorder? Or do you know any other ones with voice recorder and a good price?
rockingdude Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Yes, if you check the Philips product page, you'd see that it has voice recording capability.
